Why have our standards dropped so suddenly? We were once talking of signing Packer, Hayne, Moylan, Milford and TMM now we're talking Hiku, Taufua, Fonua and Kahu

Hayne is a pipe dream and is likely to stay on the GC, he wouldn't come here for less than a million bucks so that's a ridiculous situation for the Tigers to put themselves in. Moylan was a complete smokescreen, no substance to that rumour at all. TMM was considered if he could secure a release from Penrith for this season but we then signed Reynolds, so TMM then became pointless. Milford? Likely to stay in Brisvegas.

I wouldn't discount Packer yet though.

Dugan pretty much declined the 850p.a offer from the Dragons today on twitter. If the Dogs offer big money we will miss on Packer and Milne.

Even if Dugan goes I think they'll struggle to keep both Milne and Lafai given they locked Aitken up on decent coin. Once one of them is signed it's going to be easy to persuade the other to leave for a guaranteed first grade spot and I'd be happy if we landed either of Lafai or Milne. Or the other option is Hopoate for centre. There's actually a few decent centre options out there. It's props we really need to start landing…

100% correct Nelson we have lost our 2 best props and hopefully not keep Grant either.you can buy as many backs as you like but without an engine room they will do nothing. We need 3 props signed up to support Ben.The bloke from parra is only a kid so i cant count him

Dugan is stupid. He gets injured regularly so you think he would snap up 850k.

The bulldogs cant afford iut, were goingbfor lolohea for half the price. Dugan could p ssibly haby nowhere to go next year except maybe souths or nbewcastle. Even then itl be for less money. Id laugh if he only gets 400k or something.

Things have gone really quite on Milne and Packer, I get the feeling that they are staying put regardless of what Dugan is up to, and on Dugan who would seriously be interested, Dogs could not afford him with Woods and Foran joining the ranks, Newcastle have signed Ponga for the no1 role and I seriously doubt we would go near him

Dragons will have to get rid of one of milne, lafai or aitken i feel. Aitken is contracted so its one or the other. Packer is 50/50.

Lafai didn't look too flash from what I have seen of him.

Starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel now I think. All the really good players are just about gone, but that is ok I guess as most were overpriced.

Very few good centres and props left on the market if we don't get Milne and I guess Packer. Unfortunately very few coming off contract next year as well.

SG keeps saying there are plenty of Props available, don't see it myself - don't think there is anyone better than JJ, so we could be in a bit of trouble.

Typical Tigers luck - the one time we have plenty of dough there are no GOOD players to buy.

I thought there were heaps of players to choose myself. Most of the players came off contract this year because thdy knew the salary cap would be known for next year. Im not worried about centre. Props are important though. Still a few out there.

ofengauie, akoulia, paasi, nelson solomona, brenton lawrence, vete etc

I reckon we could get SKD… over the line... by the end of the week...

Forward pack looks skinny now.

10\. Matulino
9\. MM
8\. ?
11\. McQueen
12\. Lawrence (Needs to be a bench player IMO) maybe Idris would suit?
13\. Taylor

14\. JJ Felise
15\. Sue (Reserve grade for mine)
16\. Tim Grant
17\. ?

Weak pack unless we pick up 2-3 quality forwards.

Hopefully these guys: Packer, Vete, Ofahengaue, Guerra or Paul Carter (although we may not want him due to our no DH policy).

There are plenty off contract, and even more will become available when the salary cap is eventually finalised.
We'll make some more signings over the coming weeks/months - but us and the knights will be in prime position to pick up anyone forced up by cap constraints. There'll be some very good contracted players shifted around over the coming off-season.

I think we should sign ofahengaue, mate of mine who is a broncos supporter rates him and he does want to come back to Sydney so I'd try for him

Fear of boy who cried wolf but I did read somewhere that we have had discussions with Ofahengaue and he wants to move to Sydney. Good signing if we can land him.

I am a little bit disappointed to have not heard of us making a play for Nelson though. He is going to be the best forward in the game within 24 months.
