Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Nothing wrong with recruiting someone who has played minimal NRL. But to compare someone who has played two NRL games with someone who has played several seasons is a wild guess at best. And Momirovski wasn’t even all that great in those two appearances.

I’m not saying he won’t be good, he may be, but he has absolutely zero runs on the board

Well if he amounts to nothing let me know but in the meantime i rate his chances of ending up a better player than the other two.

Its called having an opinion, like i said it no different to recruitment or scouting. You dont just settle for guys with runs on the board.

From what I saw of Momorovski in both First Grade and Reserve Grade… he looks okay, fairly solid. In the semi final he played, he did nothing wrong, was gifted a try, but i would hardly say he had a blinder like some people have referred to. In Reserve Grade, when I watched he never did anything wrong but he didn't look above the standard.

Jennings on the other hand runs it hard and busts the line with his hit ups. A class above.

If Jennings comes, im thinking its going to potentially hurt Nofa rather than Thompson. Thompson may be on the small side, but he was one of our better players last year and Nofa has some worrying aspects of his game. Either way, competition for spots and depth to the squad is what we need moving forward.

I thought Momirovski did all that was asked of him in his two call ups and you can't expect more than that, with getting to a loose ball being at the forefront of my recollection, which shows he is putting in. Sure, he has not set the world on fire, but his second appearance was in a pressure situation of a finals match and he scored a try to go with the one on debut, something not many players can boast of.

Sure, this is a guy that is a risk, but I would much rather have a youngster that having not only done the above, had only just overcome major injury and then found himself behind an international pairing, than some other ISP backup. I see him as a capable first grader at worst and hope that the competition for positions is fierce should Jennings join WT.

**NRL give Wests Tigers permission to sign Robert Jennings**
**A deal is expected to be finalised in the next few days.**

How kind of the gestapo to allow us a signing.

Thompson is almost the first player picked imo.

Nofo on the other hand might be under the pump to hold his position if Jennings arrives, all good for the Tigers.

Masto
Momo
Nofo
Fono
Jenno
Thomo

6 after 4 spots.

Out of those six, IMO, it should be-
Nofo & Marsters
Fono/momo & jennings. Soz Thompson but you missed out, just because Jennings runs a lot more and scores more

Don't get too excited yet on Jennings..

It could have an impact on the Wests Tigers, who were given the green light by the NRL to try and sign Robert Jennings If Burgess departs to join the Eels, Jennings may remain at the Rabbitohs.
