Glad Bateman doesn't want to return. He sucks ass. Never rated him as he had very little impact and gave away fad too many penalties. Fingers cross Bird ends up being a great buy for us. I'm apprehensive

I keep feeling good and then remember we lost 17 games, i think in two groups of 9 losses and 8 losses respectively.

Next years squad is shaping up better though, hope we can find 2 more middles that are walk up starts. I'd have Bird at second row pending Olam and Turuvas performances at centre.

Yep both there in 2017, not sure what year Jack played, I do recall he did his knee in a preseason there and missed a whole season.

Will we have to carry significant freight seeing as he does not want to honour his contract?
Also i presumed the waiting on an offer for Hetherington was Horsbourgh related is it possible it is Bateman related?

Jack Birds agreed to a two year deal worth 400k a season. The Dragons will contribute a small portion of his salary in 2025.

Funny that it’s worked out that way. Possibly this has happened because Bird took up the option for next year with the Saints.

Don’t think so. Unless he had a mid season release in 2017. Benji was at the Broncos 2017, Jack was at Broncos 2018.

Bird too slow at centre these days..and he wont get a gig in the halves as we have a dozen of em
So its 13.
At 400k probably worth the investment..but better get an extra staffmember on standby in the rehab dept!

Benji 2017, Jack 2018. Looks like Jack might of done the ACL early 2019 season as he doesn’t play again until 2021 and with the Dragons.
