Maybe not technically. But its the non-performance of the club that will trigger it.Neither is luai's
There are many reasons he may have included that clause that have nothing to do with infield performance.Maybe not technically. But its the non-performance of the club that will trigger it.
Fair enough. I’ve moved past it. To quote a certain doofus “It is what it is”.There are many reasons he may have included that clause that have nothing to do with infield performance.
We are a club that has a history of sacking coaches, maybe he doesn't want to be here for 5 years under a coach he doesn't have a relationship with.
We also have a history of chopping and changing on the direction of the club. It is entirely possible he wants to see the club implement the direction that Benji and Richo sold to him.
With the history of this club you would be crazy to take these promises at face value.
Melbourne are masters at succession planning in the spine. They seem to be able to hold onto their spine players in waiting more often than notSounds like Hughes may be one who may cash in with one of the expansion teams! If halves are playing to mid-30s, he'd be perfect for the Perth Bears or PNG Pacific Protectors!
Jonah Pezet knocks back Knights to stay at Melbourne Storm
The Newcastle Knights made a monster $2.5 million bid to lure Jonah Pezet away from the Storm but the former Wyong Roo has opted to stick with Melbourne - though he has inserted a surprise clause into his new deal.
Jonah Pezet has inked a long-term deal to remain at the Storm but it comes with a strict clause which could allow him to exit the club should Jahrome Hughes extend his time at Melbourne.
Pezet was chased heavily by Newcastle who put forward a monster $2.5 million four year bid but he has opted to stay at the Storm after agreeing to a four-year contract extension. His deal will expire at the end of 2029 however Pezet may be free to leave earlier.
Hughes is contracted to Melbourne until the end of 2026. Should he agree to a deal beyond that period then Pezet is an immediate free agent. Hughes will be 32 in 2026 while Pezet will be just 23.
The contract safeguards both Pezet and the Storm. It means Pezet will not be stuck behind Hughes and Cameron Munster for an extended period while the Storm have a ready-made replacement should Hughes leave the club.
Yes was joking….hopefully put smile someone’s face. But I do actually like it TBA.lol not sure if you’re joking , but I think they’re representing the 3 areas we serve . Wests , Balmain and group 6 .
Thank you. Did not see that previously. Like!
Yes different position in2025. Before that we were desperate and had to give the young guys a chance. It’s very possible that Makasini is the only player that makes his NRL debut next season. That’s a big turnaround from 10 debutants this past season.
At lest you’ve acknowledged your mistake. 😂Fair enough. I’ve moved past it. To quote a certain doofus “It is what it is”.
The big thing I read or someone said , was using the broadcast rights as a top up .There are many reasons he may have included that clause that have nothing to do with infield performance.

DAZN is dog poo.The big thing I read or someone said , was using the broadcast rights as a top up .
I think foxtel is looking to be bought by DAZN . Which is like an international Kayo .
So people are saying there’s a chance the rights go down .
I don’t think so . Netflix now dabbling in sport , and getting the rights next year to the WWE , could mean they decide to ramp up . Also 9 getting complete ownership of the broadcast rights and just playing the games on Stan , could be the answer .
I guess it will all come to a head in a couple of years

They’re buying foxtel apparently …DAZN is dog poo.
Yeah saw that, I would think they would kill of cable and intergrate the Kayo app into their rubbish streaming service. They’re buying foxtel apparently …
Yep I’d say so!Yeah saw that, I would think they would kill of cable and intergrate the Kayo app into their rubbish streaming service.
Just look at the YanksThey always will because it is impossible to destroy an idea no matter how disgusting it is.The politics of division and blame on others will always attract the gullible.
The SkillionDo you mean the big hill at the south end?
Well he the best option for no12 at the moment. 2026, Naden,Staines and a few others will be gone. We will have spots to fill. 2nd rower and a lock are needed.
No point getting rid of him if we have no one else to play there's
Luai clause is all about money, nothing else. With expansion teams and new Tv deals his value could skyrocket and if for some reason due to injury or form it doesn’t he still has his 1.2 mil for five years. There are many reasons he may have included that clause that have nothing to do with infield performance.
