If that's the case half his team mates will be forum membersI said I reckon some club will offer him stupid money on November 1.

Yeah it’s massive.I don't think anyone thought Cleary was going to reach the heights he has at 19 either. Not saying Galvin will, probably not, but his ceiling is very, very high.
He is sick of downing maccas 3months ago ,will the pray mantis fill out over time? ,lots of Q's n faith $$$ being bandied about this kid.look how hood yeoh is for penrith, Galvin can become that ball playing 13 in years to come when he gets too big for 6
Done nothing lol.Mate give it a rest ffs. . Hes played a year and was a standout, Browns done nothing for years. One wants the ball every chance he gets the other is allergic to it, especially with Moses.
I'm with Rugbygoated on this one.10 years of Brooks didn't teach us that quality halves are hard to come by.
Great halves like Cleary win 4 premierships in a row.
We've finally got our hands on a potential dynasty building half, let's not just let him go.
Week in and week out Yeoh is the best player in the comp. You get the same quality every game.look how hood yeoh is for penrith, Galvin can become that ball playing 13 in years to come when he gets too big for 6
we aren't sitting at the kitchen table ,good luck. Its another year yaaghhhhI’m sure this will be polarising (and not directed at anyone at all)
Any chance we can move on form the will he, won’t he saga?
It has been continuing for days now, and with no real information to change the discussion.
Round 1 is around the corner. Can we attempt to pivot away until any new info or rumours come to light, rather then the same vicious circle of negativity that we as a whole continue to feed.
Also as a side note. With new information or changes in circumstances, the discussion should and will be revisited.
Currently when opening this forum it is becoming quite depressing (with no real basis for it), when we should be the most optimistic we have been in years.
No team wants to go (why disrupt your preseason) but every team has to go (to promote the game, probably not contractually but to be in V’landys good books and possibly get some quid pro quo). If we don’t go in 2026, then we’re likely going in 2027. One team will get a pass, my bet is Dolphins. Once 16 teams have participated (by 2027) the initiative will conclude unless by some miracle rugby league takes off in the U.S. That’s my take on it anyway.Summary: have asked NRL to sign Klemmer while Molo is on the books and would start season with 31 players. NRL don't want to set this precedent.
In other news, pretty much every team who hasn't been to Vegas yet is there rubbing shoulders with V'Landys about 2026...except Wests 🤣

He's willing to do the great individual plays at the end of games, but does he hog the ball? Does he take all credit for the team? Does he try to score tries by himself most the time or does he try and set up others?Great individuals like Nathan Cleary win you a premiership. Am sure his team think the same!
I'm happy to own it. Come back in 15 yearsHe has played 21 games and is 19 years old.
That's quite a crystal ball.
Here's the real question. He's willing to do the great individual plays at the end of games, but does he hog the ball? Does he take all credit for the team? Does he try to score tries by himself most the time or does he try and set up others?
Yep not putting a million on him yet. I don't think last year is enough evidence to throw all your eggs in the basket. I'd like to see him back up at least the first 10 rounds with some 'good' footy. Doesn't have to be great. Just consistent with a focus on improving defence and following the team plan. Here's the real question.
Would one pay any player $1 million a season after a handful of NRL games?
That is, in a nutshell, what we are dealing with and frankly it's madness to invest so much, so early, when Galvin needs to answer a lot more questions about whether or not he'll reach his potential.
2027 could be a big payday for him depending on how he goes between now and then. A million bucks now?...it's way too risky.
i disagree, Team bonding ,wonderful, Not shmoozing to peter , is a seige mentality ,if push come's to shove . Gambling $ may keep the game afloat /free world economics.its a pox on more than the game.360 ,matty johns words just drip with sweetness ,to toss the boss.Abdo the other day ,talking about a product/profit in L A proved he is not good at poker player .Whine over, but that man should not be going into the next broadcasting deal. Top honcho's from foxtel , nrl gushed, their love seemed tighter than Lee loves Justin ,No team wants to go (why disrupt your preseason) but every team has to go (to promote the game, probably not contractually but to be in V’landys good books and possibly get some quid pro quo). only game that ive ever seen Cleary totally take a game by the scruff of the neck ,was last years GF ,when it was on the lineGreat individuals like Nathan Cleary win you a premiership. Am sure his team think the same!
Yah I don't get it - there is no way Galvin is accepting an extension yet.I’m sure this will be polarising (and not directed at anyone at all)

I’d love to keep Galvin. And I think we will.Yah I don't get it - there is no way Galvin is accepting an extension yet.
It has been pretty obvious he's looking for success, he won't stick around to be the next Luke Brooks. I really don't know how anyone can begrudge him for that.
Added to that, we have Latu. While I'd be extremely upset at losing Galvin, it's far from the end of the world having Latu at the club. We'll just pivot and go all in on him instead.
Ideal scenario is we keep both, but we'll be fine either way.
strap inI’d love to keep Galvin. And I think we will.
But this is something atm that is out of our control and is not going to be finalised in the short term.
He is signed with us for two years
Without any new information or rumors etc, we have discussed this enough.
