Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Spoke to my mate from work he said he spoke with tallyn and his father today and said that Lachys decision to leave is upsetting but it won’t affect tallyns decisions for the future. He’s invested in the tigers and doesn’t want to be anywhere but the tigers. He feels the club is in a strong position and is confident they will bring success. Also apparently joked and said they can sling him some of lachys extra $$

Anybody know what's happened with Makasini not named anywhere I think.

That's what really gets me about all these players that leave us because 'they want to win' or 'be better' - they're often going sideways to clubs that are hardly in a better position than us.

I can't seem him going anywhere but the Dogs, IF what he says is true.
Thing that irks me is, I'm pretty sure winning is what they're paid to do here.

There was a bit of chatter that we are concentrating on remove some of the clauses in Luai’s contract. I reckon that is happening and Luai is going to demonstrate first hand team first.
Caveat I read that somewhere or saw it on a pod not goss from anyone, I don’t have intel 😂
Luai's post of team first and going to Benji after it was said he can't coach to back Benji arnt the actions of a guy who's not all in.

Right now , for this season, I'd be looking at signing Deine Mariner and Jacob Laban to top 30 deals. Both posters aren't getting much of a look in at the moment, Laban is on next this week but down pecking order.
Suli Pole on a development contract next year would be good too.

The only way we release Galvin is for a very strong player in return. Let him speak to other clubs but make it clear to Moses, the only way he leaves before end of his contract is via a high quality player swap.

We need Richo to stand his ground here.

Yep, his highest value to us is right now, when we're paying him peanuts still but his value is much higher to another club. A quality backrower swap or he just plays out his time at Lidcombe.

Tallyn seems like a great kid, he has stated that he is happy to play wherever the team wants him to play and learn from the senior players. He says Api is his idol. Kid gives 100% and is a genuine team player. This is the type of young players we need, not the walking egos who know it all & refuse to listen or learn…..or make bullet lists about how the coach needs to improve.

I Feel sorry for Galvin that the senior people in his corner have exposed him to this shit show.
It's fine to believe in yourself and have conviction, but he's not played an nrl game yet with any real stakes. When that blowtorch gets applied we will see if he really is the next Joey Johns or just another Ash Taylor.
Going to Parra as their marquee man would have to be the dumbest decision he could make.

I think everyone can understand him wanting to see what he can get on the market however giving your reason as being youre have no faith in the coach is disgraceful.

Hold him to ransom if he wants an early release.

Dogs - get Burton. Can come play with his ex Penrith mates.
Parra - they have no one.
Manly - Olakautu or id do a deal for Paseka AND Bullemor.
Roosters - Wong or Chrichton.

We don’t necessarily have to swap Galvin for a single player. We have room in our top 30 to get two players back for him (or more, although unlikely).
You realise getting several players that add up to his next contract would only mean we are getting two or three average players, right? We’d be getting two or three Solamona Faataape’s instead of one Stephen Crichton. I know which I’d rather
