Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Or maybe he thrived in an inferior competition and is finding the NRL a bit tougher?

I dunno....i never notice him when Im watching the knights
I don't watch nearly as many matches as I used to, so it is harder for me to rightfully judge players nowadays, so maybe he is finding it tougher here. I have though noticed enough of KPP playing the 160 minutes opposite Samuela and a little more here and there this season, to see that he is certainly better than our current right edge options.

If Benji, Richardson and co believe that he can bring a bit more of the attributes that @jrtiger alluded to above if encouraged to, then I trust that he will be suitable if the dollars match up.

Dom Young is a good player with a great turn of pace, but I think with Turuva, Skelton and Staines, as well as Luke L if needed, we have enough coverage there.

We don't have endless amounts of money, so need to buy 3 forwards (2 quality, 1 depth) at a minimum, then look at a CTW. I doubt there would be much money left after that to look at Young. As someone pointed out as well, of course at 400k you would say yes, but for 700k or whatever, we need to put money to other areas.

One of the bigger benefits of getting KPP is that we won't need to get another prop as Seyfarth is then free to play in the middle from the bench.

May, Pole, Hunt, Sione F, Seyfath and Twal. That's 6 props/middles and that means that one would probably need to miss out on the 17... Not to mention that May plays anywhere between 65-80mins and Pole now playing between 55-65mins. That only leaves 35mins for the two bench props combined.

Maybe O'Brian's coaching of KPP has pissed him off to the point he is doing SFA in defence. Bare minimum. His attack was lack lustre also. No tackle busts for a big guy?
He was continually running as a decoy around the centres, at pace, [last game in Magic Round], but never got the ball? Coach plan? Made for a below par performance IMO.
AOB has nothing on Benji, if he can get Doobie tackling then I reckon he can get KPP tackling. If that’s his only problem I’d be keen. But I’d be checking on the Fifita situation first.

Pretty desperately could use some depth at prop. If anyone goes down from our pack we'll be playing Sukkar again... hopefully they find a decent prop to sign who can just be depth

To the untrained eye. As a former winger he is an absolute liability defensively and costs a lot. He’s a taller Nofa. In attack he’s a gun but Roosters get burnt down his edge often.
IMHO.. believe it is because he hasn't had decent centre inside him this year. Previously had Manu and Gagi.
