Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Taking Young for the rest of 2025 wouldn't be a terrible idea.

Skelton has not shown the ability to stay fit unfortunately. And if Young lights it up, then Skelton can always move inside to centre.

What we don't have is too many guys with his physical skills.

Given the choice of Young or Staines, I'd take Young every time.
Personally I would prefer taking a player off the Knights hands so they can sign Young. We are desperately short for forwards. Give me KPP, Frizell or your mate Hetherington for the remainder of the year.

I am still baffled by yesterday's score line. I completely understand that the storm are a far more developed team and organisation then the tigers ( Unfortunately ).
I just don't know what the club does moving forward. I see gaping holes in our roster with out talent to fill them. I see a player market about to be stretched like 50 yr old weekend Lycra.
I see players laughing after an absolute thrashing. I have seen more stress and disappointment on coles workers when my tea bags are out of stock.
Like everyone here I have been enjoying this year and having a 50/50 win rate has been refreshing. But after all these years to still have that sort of result in the best roster we have had for atleast a decade is so deflating as a fan.
That score line just highlighted the huge issues at the club. Bellyache tore our team apart like a surgeon and the players had zero reply.
pointless post and pointless rant. Just like memberships and energy given to the club.
I don't see your post as pointless. I think we all feel the same. However I feel it comes down to attitude that comes from our coaching staff. We knew they were coming for us and we still didn't turn up. Clear as day in the sheds before a ball was kicked.

If you don't turn up in the right frame of mind you will get flogged. The only teams that get flogged by 60 are the ones that give up.

Benji let that happen. That's on him for me. If he doesn't insist on a certain culture then that's what happens. I've never said a bad word about benji but this one is on him.

If I'm a coach knowing were heading to Melbourne after they've had a controversial loss, knowing they never lose 2 in a row and knowing after the way they lost they wernt going to be giving any stupid penalties away and knowing we were playing for 3 wins in a row I would have treated the whole week like it was a grand final week. Get the guys laser focused and build the intensity up to the game. What led to yesterday iv no idea, but someone dropped the ball somewhere big time.

Whilst watching the game yesterday …my mind went back to the Roosters game last year which was a similar beat down ..perhaps a bit different way of execution from the opposition , as they just bashed them into submission in the middle instead of attacking the edges like the Storm did yesterday … think the final score was 40-6 ….the Tigers just weren’t up to it mentally on each occasion …

But this Tigers team was much superior to that one that got lapped 12 months ago … it’s very much of a concern that good new players can come into the club but the mental deficiencies collectively still seems to be there ..

Not sold on Willison. My fear is he's a little more the athletic type & a little less the hard nosed type.

We have athletes. We lack the mentality.

Leniu is obviously the dream addition.

I REALLY like Jayden Hunt from the Broncos. Surprised he's satisfied with the role he has there.
I don't watch Jayden Hunt much ...but when I have his hands have let him down

To be fair it was kinda funny his dads comment. People are reading way to much into it imo.
At the start of the year I would have taken 5-5 tbh. We do not have a high ceiling. If we are outside the bottom 4 that is actually a success and something we can build on.
Couldn’t agree more,
Anyone thinking we were going to beat the Storm in Melbourne after they got beat the week before must have been dreaming.
Forget this game and go on our previous results we have improved immensely since last year.
How we perform this week against the Rabbitohs will tell us a lot about where we are heading for the rest of the year.

The Storm were 5-3 and we were 5-4 … perhaps I didn’t see a win coming our way , against a good team that is hard to beat at home, but did you see that beat down ? Anyway, the fans can think what they want…it’s a problem when the players don’t seem to think they can win …
The hate for Seyfarth seems out of line with the performance yesterday.

Hate is a strong word … I know you read the board everyday, so I’m assuming you honestly don’t think the criticism of him started yesterday .

That’s cause Galvin has clocked off…. He only wants to be involved in the fancy plays
Galvin needs a really good defender on either side of him. He’s a light frame and will always be a target for big mobile backrowers to isolate him. Unfortunately, at the moment, he doesn’t have great support either side of him in defence and he’s being exposed in a way some other halves don’t.

He was hardly the worst in a bad performance. I'd argue May played worse yesterday.

Galvin is being exposed badly in defence last few weeks.

You can't argue anyone had a good game but he was atrocious. Cleary not playing for the team just himself and id almost float the possibility there could have been a tinge of tanking in there.

Like spoonball was last season

We are in desperate need of an another alpha prop with experience & voice in the James Fisher-Harris mould. Terrell May leads with his effort but we need someone who can stare down an opponent, puts fear in the opposition & can produce big PCMs at will.

At the moment Pole should be our 1st bench rotation until he further develops his game & experience.

Who could this be that could fall out of the tree?
TPJ? For those watching, is he doing well in Super League?

I know Young is very obviously not wanted at the Roosters, but man those are some savage comments to read if you were him.

"That's really annoying" you're still here Dom.

Roosters can get away with anything. Politis and Gus can get away with anything.
Yes and somehow not get lambasted in the media!

Agree. Will judge them more on if we have taken any real steps forward by how we respond against Souths.

. . . . . .and people on here wanted to play him in the second row or in the middle at lock.

Our opponents would be licking their lips at that prospect.

Time for tigers to stop frothing over 05 and actually move on they seem to always go back to 05. All these ex players from the 05 team in the coaching staff
then you got the banana Richo holding off on Taylan may signing like he’s creating some mad suspense. Just announce it already ya fruit loop or keep fielding a bunch of school boys

Every team have bad days
Every team have bad days
I know ours yesterday was horrible but I would like to leave it to next week before writing them off completely.
I have mentioned before last weekend we are 2 years and further recruiting away from being near a top 4 team.

I got no idea who is in going to be in the Top 4 this year…the Warriors are there now and the Tigers should have beat them…

Next week will be Interesting ….Latrell can win the game on his own if he wants to ..thankfully he doesn’t often put two good games together in a row …Massive game for the Tigers to steady a very shaky ship …
