Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I don’t want him to be a starter but as a depth option he’s pretty solid. The thing we’ve missed the most with Skelton being out is his yardage carries & thats Tupous biggest strength.
Spot on. The yardage he provides is much better than Naden/Staines and helps create a more like for like replacement when Skelton is injured. As a squad member at a reasonably cheap price I would welcome him back. On big money as first choice....no thanks.

Great career move that was. He’d be a regular first grader had he stayed.
You use the term first grader very loosely…
He’d be another reserve grader playing first grade because he’s being paid too much and he might have 1.5 games for his entire contract.

He’ll go to rugby where you can happily mope around like you’re shopping with the missus and kick stones with no urgency

He runs pretty hard mate. He’s got potential. Definitely would be first reserve winger if Skelton or Turuva are out.

I was pretty disappointed with him last season … he was ok his first year ,,if you have a weakness under the high ball these days it will be exploited … maybe $250k max and they only need to call on him 5-6 times a year in the NRL …probably needs to be winger 4

During his training?

He said he was "required" to go when he did.

Thats unlikely.

Hes got non training periods to attend if he wants to and im sure the cops could have booked him in later.

If hes helping them, they would like to help him.
Mate it's domestic violence with a family member.

I think he's a fat cnt that needed to lose weight and probably was a poor trainer who needed an attitude adjustment, but I think it's a bit rough to make judgement in such a sensitive issue.

The tigers probably just used this as an excuse to cut him and create roster spots and salary cap space... Whether it was fair or not I'm not privy tO

But he's a kid who obviously had some family issues and I think that we need to factor in theres emotion involved and if the cops asked him to go to the station, that is technically them requiring him to go..he's a footy player not a fkn expert in law

Because they’re paying him to be a starter when he’s just a depth option. For around 300k (Fins chip in the rest) you wouldn’t take him back?

made a comment earlier…. I’ll say further that I would rather Luke L to be honest ..who is already in the Top 30 ..

I brought this up on the weekend he will have a lot of trust to earn.
Romey and Apis mates at the dogs would know whats going on... youd have to be on mars not to...
Theyve been going pretty good at Belmore and now some upstart waltzes in...ive no doubt thered be a few sideways glances.
He had Tallyn here...whos he got there?
His old coach...lol...no one ever liked the teachers pet
Didn't Galvin even complain at one stage that Luai was the teacher's (Benji's) pet. 🤣

Great question. No they haven’t. They have no interest in creating a scandal for the game via uncovering a salary cap breach.
Imagine the conversation the people in power from Melbourne would have had with their secretary, after they asked the N.R.L auditor if they required the copy of the books in the safe aswell. Lol.

Hes got training and he knows he should be there. Thats what we are paying him for.

If hed asked the cops if he could make his statement after training, 99% chance theyd agree.

He tells the club he was required to make a statement during the training.

And probably unfair to invoke and use the cops like this as an excuse.

Unless theres more info, i cant blame the club for finding his excuse mysterious.

Maybe not. Maybe Adam is staying. How do you justify the rest of your column.
I justify it simply by asking:

"What did we build when we were the spoon?"

Seriously, what?
Ricky when he lost a stack of games at Cronulla was building defensive structures. It was the right decision as he did not have the cattle to be competitive.
When your last, you build your team back so that next year... You are not last.
We front loaded No one. We fluked a good forward in May and good wingers. and that's it.
