Lol

That still makes me laugh

Broncos have signed a lot of their young players up but I don't know if they have the money to sign up David Fifta . I think other clubs can negotiate with him after. November one

They run the NRL.

Is it me or does it seem like things are quiet on the signing front across the whole competition. Not many clubs have made signings for next year. Unusual for this late in the year.

Has been rather quiet. Only the odd player re-signing with their current clubs.

Think it's pretty standard that any club still in the finals race is focusing on footy and don't want to de-stabilise momentum or team harmony by having talk of new players joining. As teams fall out of contention they'll start announcing things again.

Big clubs will always announce signings whenever they want because they're big enough to do what they want and players will toe the line regardless.

I think in some ways it's a positive that we don't hear constant speculation about this player and that any more from the club. That's our job in here
DWZ and then Tim Mannah being discussed in public and then not (thankfully) materialising wasn't at all a professional look
I'm sure there's plenty of activity behind the scenes and look forward to seeing the announcements when they're fully locked in

DWZ would have been a good signing, he has speed and brings the ball back hard, we would be a better team with him at 1

Absolutely. He would have made a big difference to us this year, a shame we missed out.

Maybe, he has gone better than I expected with the Dogs and averages 165m per game from centre but our very own Corey Thompson is averaging 150m. DWZ has him covered for offloads (7 v 1), but Corey leads on Line Breaks (4 v 1) and Tries (4 v 1)

The Wests Tigers have discussed making a play for David Furner as an assistant coach, who has returned to Australia after a disappointing stint in the UK Super League.

It suggests a potential overhaul of Michael Maguire's coaching staff in 2020.

Cant be easy for Hodgo to travel to France to see his wife and kids. Not to say this will happen or Hodgo is even thinking of leaving but it would make sense.

Wasn't Furner appointed to an assistant coaching role at the Titans..

@Geo not sure just picked it up on Twitter and thought i’d Share it.

Furner was under Maguire at Souths?maybe it’s just “have a guess” journalism...

If at Titans would Holbrook hire his own coaching staff?

Maybe not...this was released before Holbrook was made official

Justin Holbrook has won the race for the Gold Coast coaching job, with David Furner and Tony Iro the tip to be his assistants.

So not official

i think we dodged a bullet. He just isnt skillful enough to be a top class fullback.

Good player but not on any sort of fullback money.

Brimson is the smarter move.

Hodgo has been a massive disappointment. From the last two years he doesn't appear to be a coach. His teams have struggled and looked disorganised and the fact he buggers off to France every chance he gets suggests he's not fully committed here.
Either his family moves back to Sydney and he gives this a real crack or he disappears at the end of the season and moves back to France...
