Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Izaak Tui'tupou replacing Charlie Staines this week will be the only change. Set to become WT #302. Currently on a T&T contract.
Feel for Charlie. He has been really strong for a few weeks now but had a shocker on Sunday. Thought he may of had enough credits for another crack. Still not convinced about Tui'tupou as a proper first grade option.

Highlights that Tui'tupou is in contention for a contract for next season given his mostly outstanding form in NSW Cup. He would only warrant a minimum deal ($140-$150k) whereas Staines would want more I would think. Opportunity for Tui'tupou to press his claims.

Yardage is great but has a mistake or 3 in him

Not a bad selection, certainly gives us some good size and yardage on the wings. Just got to hope Tui's hands don't fail him. Feel a bit for Staines but we know what were getting with Staines and Tui may have more upside.

dunno i saw staines beat 4 players the other night i dont remember ever seeing him do that
he should be in the side it's not like some of our other players havent had bad games and there been chosen the next week so wth is benji problem

If you dropped every player after having a shocker, half the team every second week would be shaking hands with Arron Payne. Charlie has shown more passion than most over the past month. Skelton has had some terrible defensive reads of late, but I guess Benji is okay with that.

Anyway he now has to be consistent and drop any player that has a shocker

Staines was "Steve Mavin" bad on the weekend.

Unfortunately for him Tu'itupou has been on the edge of selection due to having a really good KOE campaign.

It's good that there is GOOD competition for 1st grade spots. This isn't necessarily a slight on Staines as it is a commendation for Tu'itupou.

2 big wingers- should get some decent carries out of our area. Probably going to be important given we are playing 5 forwards & a utility back in our pack.

It might make us vulnerable in some ways for speed & agility. But if we can compensate that with field position & power closer to the line- there are pay-offs to be had.

Could be an indication of future contract status for Tu'itupou. He's certainly earned a shot with his efforts this season.

Agreed. Staines has been hard done by in being dropped.
