The Tigers have tossed big money at the rookie but he also feels a certain loyalty to Manly.

Sounds like he wants a little more something-something.

Also good PR if he does leave. Sounds better to fans to have a difficult decision than an easy one!

I am sure Tedesco found it difficult to leave the Tigers, but it's amazing how new teeth and brown paper bags will pain dissolve away quickly enough.

Momo is slow but has a football brain, can defend, can goal kick and is competitive. I think centre is his go, but deserves a starting gig where ever. Reminds me of Hoppa, not fast but makes the right calls

Very few halves were slower than Peter Sterling and none were better

@Russell I think Momo could well be the sleeper moving forward .. if his kicking continues to improve and he puts in the hard work into his kicking ect over the pre season he could be a real keeper . He has the main attribute to make the grade his mental toughness , he has taken some heavy hits confidence wise over the last month or so and has brushed it off and come back with some good performances.. watch this space !

He's too slow.

How fast do you think Meninga was?

He was very fast, especially early on. He also weighed 110kg in an era where most props didn't weigh that. He's also possibly the best centre of all time.

Comparing Momirovski to him is ridiculous.

I'm talking about speed Avo.....only speed.

Meninga was hardly Steve Renouf or Reg Gasnier but it didn't stop him, might have been big but used is brain.

Momo uses his as well - that is the point.

As for the best centre of all time --- I'll let that go through to the keeper.

I never saw Gasnier but i'll take Meninga a million times over Renouf. Meninga is one of the best players i've ever seen.

Momirovski tries hard but has no pace and limited skill. He wouldn't make any other teams first grade squad. He's just a plodder.

You have missed the point of all this - SPEED.

You said Momo was too slow - the point I am making is that there have been good centres play International RL that were not fast.

Surely you do not think Meninga could have outpaced Renouf?

Maybe speed is good - not the be all and end all - you need some brains to go with it.

Mick Cronin comes to mind.

this is good, madge is targeting young talent and looking into the future

Benji Marshall was a very young keebra park talent who was targeted by Wests tigers around 2002.

Shane Elford was the Wests Tiger centre who played throughout 2005 and in that year's grand final winning team. He wasn't blessed with a lot of speed but was a great defender who complemented his centre mate Paul Whatuira. In fact Momoroski reminds of Elford in 2005.

Gee if I was to nominate one person who always made bad decisions it would hoppa. In life and on the footy field. Pretty rough being compared to him.

I think he's referring to Will.

he's had some solid games, but if he had a speedy winger outside him could work.

Cant have a gun in every position you need some solid players, unfortunately our other centre is just a slow.

Tough with jennings whose probably just as slow and even less skillful

Makes sense. Supercoach is a good judge on this forum. That's why I was shocked, just thought he was comparing him to the guy that embarrassed us all

It's all about value for money. We're lucky that we've got some great value from certain players. Benji, Corey, momo and Matts (not sure what we paid, but im sure he's exceeding it)

Shame the team is being bogged down with undervalue purchases like reynolds, mcqueen, Matts and packer.

On the Josh Schuster article, wouldn't he have attended Westfield Sports High? That maybe that explains why he was at
Manly with Wayne Lambkin.

As for Momorovski. he is not alone in being slow in our outside backs and that is the issue.

He was at The Hills Sports High School, not Westfields.

Almost every game I see Will in, I think, "Gee, he'd be good if he hadn't lost his toe."
