Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I wouldn't be surprised if tigers make a play for a hooker. Just going over their numbers and it's really an area that is lacking. Not sure if they are looking to address it but if not they should be. The analytics show it's a glaring weakness

Whats wrong with MM?…He has been in the top 6 hookers this year.....hits hard and gives great service to the halves

Averages 1 defensive line engagement per game, 3.8 runs per game average, no kicking option (hasn't attempted a kick this season) no try assists, gives away a penalty a game on average. Only jake friend and kaiser pritchard have less runs from DH this season for starting hookers.

Just real plodding stats. His tackle efficiency is ok for a hooker but in saying that

yeah those numbers are not very flattering….I guess our long term hooker from 2018 should be Liddle...so MM can be his backup in case of injury...

Numbers don't tell the whole story. He constantly gets us on the front foot. What's the point of running from DH if you're gona get tackled as soon as you do so.

Every run of his has resulted in at least 10+ meters being gained or a try. He is quick and smart, knows when to run. His defence is solid.

It is Liddle for me in 2018 - he looks like a real good DH to me.

He is quick off the mark, runs at appropriate times, defends well for his size and from what I believe, is open to learning. He will only be 22 for all of 2018 so still has a fair bit of growing to do.

I would be giving him more game time this season and with another preseason ahead before 2018 and a much bigger and better pack with him - it is a no brainer.

Liddle will kill it.

Can't see the need to go buying another hooker, put the money towards a position we need improvement in for mine..

How do Liddle's numbers stack up in the short amount of game time he has had so far?

His are average. Takes more runs per game than MM, but tackle efficiency is pretty bad for a back up hooker (<89%) every other stat isn't appealing.

Limited time on the field but it's not promising. Would like to see Cleary give him more time to see if he really is the future.

You need to run from DH regardless to keep the markers from spotting up on the forwards. If you aren't a threat then markers can easily identify that shift and minimise the forward momentum.

We need a quality prop (Graham or Tolman will do nicely) and a quality backrower to complement the great forward pack we a are building for 2018\. Go for it Ivan.

Our starting props are sorted, we can't have 3 starting props. What we need is an impact forward to replace Grant on the bench. I think we should go looking at other clubs ISP and NYC teams for a big angry forward looking for an opportunity.

If we are signing a hooker….. its Liicha.
Enjoy
