100%. This is my biggest concern for us at the moment.Gaps in positions. With Star carrying same injury as last year ( no surgery), do we think a decent centre backup should be a priority?
Star's shoulder is a worry. But am excited to see how Big Mak, Herbert & Max Taotua go in Saturday's trial. A smokey as a right centre backup through the season is Pheonix Godinet.100%. This is my biggest concern for us at the moment.
Hooker is also a worry.
The above gives reason for Latu to always be our 14.
Doueihi, Makasini, Star and Taylan plus Herbert.Star's shoulder is a worry. But am excited to see how Big Mak, Herbert & Max Taotua go in Saturday's trial. A smokey as a right centre backup through the season is Pheonix Godinet.
Yes he is a right edge backrower but this kid could play anywhere you ask and do it well. He was a half up until U16s. Size is fine for centre, has ok speed, good ball skills, can defend and I'm sure would get up to speed quickly with the defensive decision-making required.
As I said, a smokey!
I think Burton would make a fabulous 13I doubt it, I reckon Perth have signed Tyran Wishart to pksy 6, he’s too good to keep playing as a 14.

KPP and Samuela are potentially a good combination at 2RF but beyond that our backrow is still a worry for me. An injury or two and we’re scraping the barrel. Still no genuine lock forward. If we can get quality out of Bunty and Hunt, pack looks good.
If not we are short there for depth.
Not worried so much about the backs. We seems to have solid replacements in all positions.
Hooker definitely a worry @Tito Santana
Would almost rather have Madden/Fainu rotate there than Hope. Love his story, but he gets steamrolled.
First step would be to experiment with Heamasi at right centre. Hopefully Benji is thinking the same and we see that this weekend. That being said, one disappointment for me with Benji's coaching is his lack of foresight with things like this. For me, if Heamasi plays left centre on Saturday,a position locked down by May, than its a poor decision.Gaps in positions. He would, but I don’t think he would be too keen on it just yet, when he will certainly get paid up around a million per season at a few NRL clubs if he does not stay with the Bulldogs.I think Burton would make a fabulous 13
I mean isn’t there a possibility May just goes to right centre, Masi is still a rookie getting used to first grade.First step would be to experiment with Heamasi at right centre. Interesting to see the younger 'next in line' start to get opportunities. Exciting times.Star's shoulder is a worry. But am excited to see how Big Mak, Herbert & Max Taotua go in Saturday's trial. A smokey as a right centre backup through the season is Pheonix Godinet.

You're right. Very skinny in the back row.KPP and Samuela are potentially a good combination at 2RF but beyond that our backrow is still a worry for me. An injury or two and we’re scraping the barrel. Still no genuine lock forward.
Agree that we have more depth at middle this year.

Might be forgetting Skelton thereNot sure how people think we have outside backs coverage - we have a 19 yr old who has played one game and a centre who hasnt played for 3 years.
Thanks but another member posted it first! Twal is the kind of clubman most clubs want.Good early mail @pawsandclaws1
Luke L also plus an untested saukuru.... and if things are really dire, Doueihi to centre and latu to 7.Not sure how people think we have outside backs coverage - we have a 19 yr old who has played one game and a centre who hasnt played for 3 years.
Last year we had 5 blokes with recent nrl experience outside the starting backs this year we have very little
Forwards are fine, its outside backs the big worry and of course any injury to Api but cover or not that would ruin our season
In 9 they failed to score a try during a half, the 0 pts against the Storm and 2 pts against the Panthers account for 4 of those halves.I read somewhere that the Tigers didn't score a point in 14 halves of football last year that's crazy
