He works for us too apparently but his media career comes first. At the very least the.club should have had an announcement on the re-signing up at the same time.

I would think this was done in consultation with the club! For some reason the club is trying to stay out of the media atm! A club legend announcing his resigning and not even in club colours is very weird to say the least.

Oh yeah, I'm not suggesting Benji did this behind the clubs back. As you say, club legend re-signed but nothing said by the club.

Billy Brittain would be a great signing. He's looked good in his few games for Souths. You need at least 2 hookers on your roster. Liddle is almost a write-off for 2020, Simpkin isn't available until July 1 (and is too young anyway), and hooker isn't Walters' preferred position. We need one more hooker on our roster.

Lidz is first choice 9
Britain is depth 9
Walters it depth half/9 perfect utility off the bench as neither Britain or lidz can go the full 80imo
Simpkin is our young half developing just like lidz once was behind Farah

Apparently after the Canterbury Cup game yesterday , commentators said Rabbbitohs coach Shane Millard was going to be Madge’s assistant next year .

Also reading that CC Cup player of the year Billy Brittain will be coming with him .

He was rumoured to be going to Bulldogs but they recently signed Katoa .

Club must have a thing for Billy's. Billy Walters and Billy Brittain. Was the Brittain bit in one of the papers today?

Bird is another broken biscuit with chronic knee problems. Wouldn't go near him.

Plenty of guys have had injury problems at his age and turned it around. I would hope we are making inquires.

Mate he has arthritis in both knees and is coming back from ACL...it's another Matulino.

he's got rheumatoid arthritis (different to osteoarthritis) which affects almost all joints in the body but with medication you can be 100% which he is currently.

the ACL is another issue. he should be able to come back from this too. i'd definitely be making enquiries about him- he's a special player and at his best can be in latrell mitchell/ joseph manu class

That's quite a laugh - thanks I needed a good laugh after Souffs won.

The guy is a walking medical disaster (oh! we haven't had any of those).

To equate him with Mitchel or Manu is just absurd imo. If Bird played for the next 100 years he would never be as good as those two.

he would've made origin this year if he didn't get injured. lattrell and bird were the best centres at the start of the year

he is an investment worth making despite the risk of injuries as he is still very young

with the team training up until grand final week, the team is still in 2019. you'd think we'll hear a lot in terms of who's coming and going the week after grand final.

I would have thought you'd announce a resigning to your members before Matt Johns.

Benji did say when he was on NRL360 a week or so ago that he would be announcing his decision on foxsports.

I think it's poor form.

They really need to start expanding that comp, it’s more like an end of year test series than an NRL comp. I’m sure they are capable of producing more teams from the Harvey Norman comp.
