G'day @The_Patriot: when you were a wee lad of 17/18 yoa and courting pretty ladies, you would have no doubt found some of those pretty lasses liked you and some didn't, and it didn't matter how hard you tried to impress, some just still didn't want to go out with you, eh?

It's the same with footy players and coaches. Some just don't understand/respect each other.

I believe Ryan Matterson has a 'genuine' problem or possible 'problems', with Madge and doesn't want to be with the Wests Tigers anymore.

So we just gotta let him go and as you said "just recruit guys who are hungry and want to add to the culture we are building. I trust Maguire to do just that"

If Moylan was to ring Madge and have a chat re playing for us, that would mean he had the right mental attitude to fit in with Madge, and as @The_Patriot said

Thanks for posting this @Newtown: The Titan's are in a desperate re-building phase as are Wests Tigers.
I feel new and exciting times are ahead for them now that Meninga and Holbrook are running the show, and I feel it will happen more quickly for them than for Us unfortunately. I feel they have a better player base than We do, whereas We have to search for players. Plus I have a strong feeling Matterson will be with the Titan's next year, which will improve their squad even more. Have a great day Newtown :fa-smile-o:

Been watching some of our earlier games last year with loha at the back and it’s safe to say we really lack a ball playing option out the back....don’t get me wrong I love thommo but let’s just leave on the wing for now and either move Mbye back or look on the market....besides thommo is a great finisher anyways....however I’d do think if we are to be competitive he can’t make our top 17.....as having both nofa and thommo on our wings leaves us a bit short literally

Moylan has gone downhill so far since his days at Penrith. The only way anyone should go near him is if he does exactly what you said - seeks out a coach/team he feels can improve him as a player/person. He's not even overrated anymore. Nobody talks about him. Just a bog average NRL player who has a few great games a season, then is mostly poor the rest of the time.

Actually kind of sad how fast we move on from young, rising stars of the past. In 2016, Moylan was a star. So were guys like Bryce Cartwright, Jack Bird, Euan Aitken, Bevan French, and Moses Mbye. They were all hyped and mostly delivered early on. Now they're all mostly poison and on one wants to go near them.

The RLPA are so selfish. All they do is take from the game. Everything they do is only for the benefit of the players. They don't care if they have to bring rugby league to its knees to get things down.

Unfortunately any such call would just be him saving his arse. We need to recognize such earnestness for what it is a little better. He’s in the Matulino/Lolohea ‘proven unreliable/mixed bag/keep the faith and he’ll disappoint’ basket. A shame given his potential.
