What’s the answer, revoke Benji’s control, bring in a coach to oversee and potentially override his decisions and bring in a new recruitment manager against his wishes and start all over again?
It is either do that or stick with Benji, hope he has learnt some more harsh lessons this season and give him the benefit of the doubt for at least the start of next season.

The obvious answer is to go all out for Wayne Bennett to come in and do what Richo was doing.

He made the call to give Benji full control of the coaching and choose his own assistants.
He made the call to not bother with a recruitment manager as it might upset Benji.
He made the call to add in the clauses to Luai’s contract.
He was the one that openly stated we are a development club and then watched every player from our most recent Junior Rep winning team be shown the door.

Cooper Clarke will play for NSW and Australia as a prop.
He is doing a great job on an edge while still young, but it is just a matter of time before he moves back to the middle permanently.
Most who watched him play as a 16 year old predicted this, but we somehow still managed to let him go.

I have a friend who played with him at the Storm juniors reckons he will be a gun, defo a prop tho, we probably let him go because he has size and height, not a 5’9 skinny edge like tumeth

He brought some respect back to the club. We couldn’t win 5 games in a season without him, and it’s trending back that way.

I am not on the pulse with our CampbelltownMacathur junior set up, but I regularly speak to someone who is.
I am told Brad Speechley who I believe has only this year been appointed to head up our pathways and development on this region is very switched on and is someone who can hopefully get us heading in the right direction and hopefully identify and help stop stop losing our best up and coming players from this region.

I’ve said this before as well.
IF you get a highly motivated Moses Suli, you get someone with a big aggressive frame who charges onto the ball at speed and helps us gain momentum when in ball possession.
The upside to this is we can then afford to play someone with lightning speed on one wing when the wingers with lightning speed do not often offer much in way of tough ball carries.
