WT are favourites to sign Zane Tetevano for 2020. Tetevano started for NZ under Madge last weekend.

Are we the only club chasing him?

Dragons the only other team I've seen mentioned.

Looks like I'm wrong as usual. From the DT article....

Sydney Roosters forward Zane Tetevano has been squeezed out of Bondi. He has been strongly linked to Wests Tigers, Penrith, St George Illawarra and Gold Coast.

Wests Tigers remain favourites although English Super League club Warrington remains an option.

@cqtiger The problem we have is that we aren't that strong in any position.

I really think that our roster is under rated. OK, it’s not the strongest roster but we’ve just missed the finals for a number of years now so it’s not the weakest roster either.

Agree- we are only a player or two of quality away from really competing well in the final 8. The question is whether we can actually get such player/s. Certainly the stronger clubs and NRL HQ are doing us no favours.

Example- where is the NRL investigation into the shennanigans of Matterson and Parra being fingered as the instigator of this?

What favours would you want from the stronger clubs?
As for the NRL, Madge was seen having a coffee with Lomax before Nov 1. I hav'nt heard an investigaton about that. Nobody here seems all that fussed either.

There will be an investigation if Lomax signs Turdberg is just waiting to pounce when it happens

Yeah, I won't be holding my breathe.

I understand we've signed a young goalkicking prop, Etuale Junior Lui Toeava, from Parra lower grades.
Represented the Junior Kiwis this year. Obviously looking to the future.

@cktiger I know quite a few eels fans who were pissed he was squeezed out. Looks the goods and a big boy too. Future would look good with Twal, Makaele and Lui

@balmain-boy Jennings on $400k? Show me that article. At that amount, Madge just dropped a few pegs in my book.

I am sure it is closer to $250k.

Definitely under 300 k

I hope we steer clear of tetevano, not a huge fan. I would rather take JWH or Lindsay Collins.

What do you base that on?

He bases that on Tetavano being a convicted woman beater

Would be a useful addition to our prop rotation. 2 time premiership winning prop and nz international. The rest is history.

With the speculation of a lot of signing around the NRL you would hope the dominoes will start to be announced very soon as some clubs are back to training soon if not already? I understand our coach and a lot of players have been away on rep duties but that doesn't stop player managers etc from making deals. Just sick of us been mentioned every day to every player without actually signing anyone.. Fingers crossed we get 2 decent signings as a min considering we have lost Mats, Marsters & the dog Matterson.. The waiting game is hard :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

1. Latrell Mitchell
2. David Nofoaluma
3. Tommy Talau
4. Moses Mbye
5. Corey Thompson
6. Benji Marshall
7. Luke Brooks
8. Russell Packer
9. Josh Reynolds
10. Alex Twal
11. Luke Garner
12. Nathan Brown
13. Elijah Taylor

Interchange
14. Josh Aloia
15. Thomas Mikale
16. Chris Lawrence/ MCK (offer flexibility)
17. Zane Tetevano

This is the 2020 team if the news seems to be true!

I can see us making an impact in 2020 - plus have the cap space to attract stars in 2021 for the likes of Frizzel and Arrow

Haha ‘he’ll be’, not ‘he would be’ - it’s a given then?
