True, and I was pro the signing when it happened. Jennings has just been bitterly disappointing.

Whilst agreeing Jennings has been a bad signing, it does show you two things- having a good team around you that can make breaks and then take opportunities permits average players to look good, and WT did not have anywhere near a team capable of making the breaks and expanding the opportunity for an average player (Jennings) to look good.

@tigeress - I think a recent article somewhere hit it on the head- our last foray into high priced contracts for players- Reynolds, Matulino and Packer- was and is a disaster due to inadequate diligence at the precontract assessment stage- inadequate or non existant medicals, price way over equivalent contracts, too long a period for ageing players and rushed, panic buying. I'm glad the WT board is a bit wary and wanting greater assessment this time with Mitchell if it goes ahead.

@OzLuke I think its a good risk to take as he also kicks goals and we all know we lost a few games this year because of that alone. How often does a player like this come up and the cards are falling into place to help us .. E.g.. Wants out of Roosters, Wants to play Fullback, Not many clubs have this kind of money and the ones that do already have a top FB .. I say roll the dice as its about time we got a top player coming here instead of leaving..

that is a fair point....but you miss 100% of the chances you don't take.
