Why does anyone expect "old codes" to apply any more? You steal our player, why not announce it, who cares? Eels signed a Tigers player for next year then asked could they have him 20 rounds early, so what are people expecting?

Brisbane being too sensitive for mine.

Neither club should be allowed to announce it until after the cooling off program, the Sharks have just cost the Broncos a promotion opportunity and it is not right. People would have been upset if this happened to the Tigers.

Oh I feel so sorry for the poor Broncos, boo hoo.

Its unprofessional, and takes away an opportunity for the club to get their sponsors in front of the cameras. People here would be upset if it happened to the Tigers, but its ok now because it is Brisbane?

In a nutshell…. yes. When the Broncos start worrying about the other teams in the competition and the unfair advantage they have over the rest of the NRL then I'll worry about them. And don't turn around and say it's the NRLs job. The last time they tried to do anything the Broncos got the poos and helped start super league.

But I digress

7 News tweeting Matulino has been in Sydney holding talks with us. Didn't say when, but I'd assume in the last day or two.

Just saw the footage he met with Cleary yesterday. Also reported Nofa prefers to stay and a deal will be worked out this week.

Would be surprised if pen wasn't put to paper with Matulino. He could be released this year with Moses leaving.

So its ok that for example, the Wests Tigers sign Widdop and the Dragons then announce his signing, taking away the Wests Tigers opportunity to announce what would be quite a big signing for the club?

There's been a lot of talk about the Wests Tigers, and who will be renewing their contract with the club.
Triple M and Fox Sports' James Hooper told Triple M Saturday NRL that the club has also shifted its focus externally, with a Warriors player in their sights. Listen to the full report below.

"They're also chasing a big name player, and that is Ben Matulino who is currently at the New Zealand Warriors," Hoops said. "He's injured at the moment, but he has played test football for New Zealand and is considered one of the most skilful front-rowers in the game. "They signed Chris McQueen last week, and now they're after Ben Matulino.

Is he going to be Woods replacement or partner?

Good to hear, and re Nofa now there's a player who is actually committed to our club.

I never got fooled into that rubbish about Parra.

I would say it's safe to say Woods would be going. Let's face it if he was going to sign he would of hence Matulino. I'd say Teddy is 50/50 and they will probably let Moses go early and front load Teddy then offer long term for him to stay. I don't think the club will fight as hard for Woods as he is the easier of the two to replace. On the same note they won't just withdraw the offer to Woods as it wouldn't be a good look to Teddy and others.

Hopefully will be resolved soon.

I like the idea of Matulino coming on board to strengthen our pack but he won't come anywhere close to replacing Woods.

Sounds like the club is resigned to loosing woods then. As it has always been discussed as one of the two.

Not what I hear actually the signing would help keep him.
Woods was at his best when big Red KG was his front row partner.

Losing Woods and getting Matulino would be great for the club.
They're both of similar ability but Matulino would be a lot cheaper.

We should sign jarrod wallace. 260metres from 25 hit ups and 35 tackles.. unreal….Alot to admire about that titans side. Allways working for each other. If they could keep that spine, keep the forwards they will be a top 4 side in a couple of years...

Surely we can easily hold onto Woods and add Matulino, with the amound of money we wont be paying players to play against us this year.

If people on here upset you because of their dislike for the Broncos go and support them.
They have always had an unfair advantage being the only team in a city the size of Brisbane.
All those premierships they won were tainted by dirty money from mining magnate Ken Talbot and his cash payments to all the Broncos players and their cry baby coach.
