@ said:@ said:@ said:@ said:Why does anyone expect "old codes" to apply any more? You steal our player, why not announce it, who cares? Eels signed a Tigers player for next year then asked could they have him 20 rounds early, so what are people expecting?
Brisbane being too sensitive for mine.
Neither club should be allowed to announce it until after the cooling off program, the Sharks have just cost the Broncos a promotion opportunity and it is not right. People would have been upset if this happened to the Tigers.
Oh I feel so sorry for the poor Broncos, boo hoo.
Its unprofessional, and takes away an opportunity for the club to get their sponsors in front of the cameras. People here would be upset if it happened to the Tigers, but its ok now because it is Brisbane?
@ said:7 News tweeting Matulino has been in Sydney holding talks with us. Didn't say when, but I'd assume in the last day or two.

There's been a lot of talk about the Wests Tigers, and who will be renewing their contract with the club.
Triple M and Fox Sports' James Hooper told Triple M Saturday NRL that the club has also shifted its focus externally, with a Warriors player in their sights. Listen to the full report below.
"They're also chasing a big name player, and that is Ben Matulino who is currently at the New Zealand Warriors," Hoops said. "He's injured at the moment, but he has played test football for New Zealand and is considered one of the most skilful front-rowers in the game. "They signed Chris McQueen last week, and now they're after Ben Matulino.

Just saw the footage he met with Cleary yesterday. Also reported Nofa prefers to stay and a deal will be worked out this week.
Would be surprised if pen wasn't put to paper with Matulino. He could be released this year with Moses leaving.

i dare say it will be Woods replacement.
@ said:Sounds like the club is resigned to loosing woods then. As it has always been discussed as one of the two.

@ said:So its ok that for example, the Wests Tigers sign Widdop and the Dragons then announce his signing, taking away the Wests Tigers opportunity to announce what would be quite a big signing for the club?
@ said:We should sign jarrod wallace. 260metres from 25 hit ups and 35 tackles.. unreal….Alot to admire about that titans side. Allways working for each other. If they could keep that spine, keep the forwards they will be a top 4 side in a couple of years...
