Putting aside all the talk, speculation and forum posts that allude to knowing stuff, we are about to begin preseason training and have lost one of the best versatile back rowers in the game, a world class prop and a young centre of 1st grade standard. We also have lost our hooker for the 2020 season. We have signed a reserve grader who has played one (maybe a few more?) first grade game.

This is how we roll. Yes I’m impatient but there really does need to be some significant announcements soon.

I continue to believe in Pascoe and Madge so am hopeful of some significant signings but geez it’s hard work waiting for the wheels of change to turn!

There will be because there has to be. Only 25 spots are filled on the roster. We’ll be signing players from somewhere. It will happen when it happens

o.k my son went to a bbq with a number of 1st grade players today, now this is just what they said is happening, cant confirm anything just letting every one know maybe whats going on. 1st LM was not offered $800 it was more like $650 by the chooks. they are sure he will not be at the tigers. they said tigers are certain to get sami and leleui from the dragons. just passing on what was said cant confirm anything just passing on the goss.

If this is true, and I hope it’s not, it’s extremely disappointing. We’ve come out and publicly said we are after him. No other clubs (Ex Cowboys) are in the hunt. If he turns us down after all of this and we end up signing a couple of fringe first graders like those mentioned, then really nothing has changed under Maguire.

I was told ages ago WTs had been linked to Curtis Scott. He can play centre both sides and with Marsters gone, we must have had a replacement. Talau is a fine young talent but a full year in the NRL? Besides, the Raiders were reported to have cap issues and Scott wanted back to his family in Bundeena,

@hsvjones only one player who was in the market has actually signed , with any clubs . Only one ! (Top grade talent , not reserve graders). And he is persona non grata around the league now .

When the chess pieces start moving off the board , then of course abuse away .
But it appears everyone is waiting for WT to make whatever decision we need to , as we have the most money and more importantly opportunity.
Just relax , geezus . Scott for example has been linked to moving 4 months ago , yet is still in the news .
Matterson had to go ASAP because his opportunity and money would have been getting smaller by the second , which is why Parra , basically got a steal . He was not in enough to guarantee a 1st grade spot , and , his name was mud around the league .
Something is definitely happening as for what I don’t know .
But I’m pretty sure you’re one of the ones advocating 3-4 top not players instead of 1 generational. So if that happens will you still whinge about how crap management is , when that’s what you wanted initially ?

If he signs then he signs.

If we are willing to pay a a million for someone I can guarantee we will get a very good player, whether its Mitchell or someone else in the future.

I will be honest and say I would be shocked if we did get him. Unless you are a fringe player, not many players leave the best roster in the NRL to go one of weakest.

The fact that he wasn't offered $800K by roosters is superfluous. What's more important is why are the tigers' players so sure that Mitchell won't be going to the Tigers?

Me too mate...a bit worried about the mail given he is due to meet the Cowboys, but Val Holmes was due to speak with his manager about accepting the Cowboys deal, so maybe it has all lined up...time will tell

I’ve heard so much so called good mail on this in recent weeks, both positive and negative, I don’t know what to believe! I think I’ll just wait until it actually happens...or doesn’t happen.
