Mate we did target LM and Arrow in fact we offered LM a big contract.If these players don’t want to come we have to move on , I whould think that south’s will have to pay some of that $750k

Wasn't Madge willing to play almost anyone else at fullback when he was coaching souths?

But those better players don't want to come here.

1. I haven’t seen anyone quoted saying that. As far as I’m aware at this stage LM hasn’t committed to anyone, neither has Arrow.

2. 95% of the players want to play for the team that gives them the best offer. I think people are buying in to the “players who want to come here” too much. If you give them the best offer, they’ll want to come.

3. If we do miss all the top line players you don’t go out and sign outcasts from other clubs just for the sake of it, especially one from the club who you are competing with for the better player. That’s how our cap got messed up in the first place.

Gagai hates playing fullback. It was one of the reasons he wanted out of Newcastle. He’s always wanted to stay at centre but everyone except Gagai seems to know his best position is on the wing. Kicked up a stink too when Souths signed Roberts and he got pushed to the wing. Always has a blinder in Origin but average in clubland.
