eels could be spiteful here....wouldn't put it past them......

but to see this kid in a tigers jersy....something to get amped up about

If they want to waste a year developing a player who will be gone in 2021, let them. Cutting off their nose to spite their face.

can you tell me that is something that the eels would do? i can see them doing it just to be jerks

I reckon they will spend the next 12 months putting pressure on the kid to break his contract with us. They will offer him an upgraded contract from 2021. There is no other reason why they would deny him a release. They are a disgraceful club that don't care how low they go to get what they want.

He's signed for 2021 with the tigers
We're trying to get him out of there

Well, we have learnt from last time- no quarter given with Parra. If they Parra seek to get him to break his contract with WT for 2021- he will sit out the 2 (or is it 3) years of his contract with us and WT take immediate court action against Parra in abetting a player to break their legal contract with another party.

Yea i know and at this stage they won't budge on letting him go. They have already offered him a top 30 spot for next year. Parra are the scum of the NRL - they will try to get him to break his contract if they can.

Yea right - just like we learnt after their dirty tactics with Moses. We really showed them how tough we are with the Matterson debacle. Why do you think it would be any different a third time.

It just does not make sense keeping him this year.. Why put money and time into a player leaving when you could use that spot on another young player that might end up been a first grader.. I would laugh if they kept him and lost another player with talent because they are been idiots.. Cannot wait until they need something from us or another club and they don't get it..

Hope Im wrong but I reckon Parra are making a play to keep him long term. Put him in the top 30, play him this year, successful rookie year, lots of pats on the back, offer him more than Tigers, break Contract, stay at Parra.

I have a bad feeling about it.

Reckon your on the mark ...they will give him some NRL game time and hope we have a bad year form wise

My thoughts too

There's nothing to worry about. As stated, the family have lost all respect for the eels. That's why he has rejected an opportunity to be in their top 30. As much as the eels want him to stay, it won't matter, he'll be a tiger in 2021.

Just had a very interesting chat down at the beach with a well known member of our training staff. First of all, he doesn't think Latrell is going anywhere in 2020 and will most likely re-sign with the Roosters going forward. The hype about the Roosters pulling their offer and then the Tigers and Cowboys pulling theirs is just media hysteria. He says it's as simple as this: all offers are made with specific conditions, one of those conditions being the period of acceptance. If a player doesn't sign by the expiry date offers aren't pulled, they just expire. He seems to think Latrell is happy at the Roosters and they are happy with him. He also doesn't think he has the nous to be a good fullback.
Madge desperately wanted DWZ and he wanted to come but contrary to popular belief in this forum that the Tigers always miss out because no-one wants to play for us, Penrith would not release him to us. He also noted the improvement in the Dogs back half of the season coincided with DWZ's arrival and thinks he would have been a better option than Latrell.
Madge is currently in the UK talking to players but it's unclear exactly who. Having said that he said several clubs were showing interest in a small number of players, probably those mentioned in this forum as targets for the Raiders, so it's anyone's guess who goes where but at least we're having a shot. Other than that he's optimistic about the youngsters but I suppose he has to say that.

At the end of the day his is just another opinion.

For instance he has no inside information to suggest Latrel would re-sign with the Roosters after next season. none at all. Just opinion.

Interesting that Penrith wouldn't release DWZ to us but had no problem releasing him to Canterbury. Virtually stuffed up any chance of us acquiring a proper fullback for 2020. What do these clubs (Penrith & Parra) have against us? We've handed them the players and a coach they wanted on a platter and still they deny us! God I hope both teams fall flat on their faces and miss the 8 next season.

They fear us. They know we are only 1 or 2 players short and don’t want to be the club that makes Wests Tigers into a powerhouse.

Not only that they know they are in a war for the west. Its us Penrith and parra head to head. Parra and Penrith get it. Im not sure our club has got there yet.

Something to do with how they handled his brothers injury.
