If true, this is great news Fade!
Now why are we refusing to pay $350k for Doueihi? He has stayed behind in Sydney to sort out his future while the rest of the Bunnies have gone into bushfire camp.
Let them have JAC . Get us Doueihi and we’ll whip their r’s every day of the week.

Doueihi had a meeting with Roosters yesterday, Contemplating a move there.
Tedesco HAS apparently done his pec and Roosters are in panic mode. (Feel for him if in fact true)
Apparently we should be expecting an announcement next week Tues/Weds if he agrees.
Interesting turn of events."

I can actually see this happening where Roosters will get AD and he will turn out to be a SOO player.. We will sit back and say if only we increase our offer by 100k...

Surely this isn’t possible. With what cap are the Roosters to outlay $500k plus? They are also supposedly after the other Morris twin to cover for that centre who did his ACL. Ridiculous...

Will they just got Latrell off the books, if Sniths injury is bad enough they may get sone short term cap relief for him. Pretty easy to sign AD under those circumstances.

The Raiders were willing to release Leilua and contribute to his 2020 deal at the Tigers after recruiting Curtis Scott from the Melbourne Storm prior to Christmas.

The Tigers will now turn their attention to signing Rabbitohs

Either Doueihi or Johnson would do me. Both can cover multiple spots.

The Roosters have a bigger so called war chest than Tigers’.
There’s gonna be a lot of dejected fans when DA signs with Chooks and gets picked for SoO Blues .

Nahh if that happens there will be a core of fans here delighted because they will be able to point and blame Pascoe, despite the fact that there is no basis to do so.

Agree re Douehi. We would be a much better team with him in it for sure. Hope we get him done.
Souths can have JAC, he is absolutely no hope of coming back to WT (he skipped out on us in pretty dodgy fashion in the first place) so who cares where he ends up.
BJ plus Douehi would make a massive difference to our side.

Media prefer a Rabbits success story, general population would prefer a Tigers one over Souths....

Is this true though? I think we used to be fairly popular with the general population but I don’t think that’s the case anymore. Certainly not from people I know that support other clubs.

What if he doesn't play SOO for the Blues. What if he is a dud. It's hard to predict the future.

Yer throwing a lot of what ifs at me there Earl. I’ve only ever recognised a handful of players who were destined for bigger things and they’ve all become internationals. But you’re right anyone of us could have the worse run of rotten luck ever experienced by anyone on earth.
I just don’t think that way about anyone though.

You are the one predicting he will play for the Blues. It's a big call. You might be the best picker in the game but plenty of players don't make it to the top.

A huge difference! With the Leilua brothers giving us increased offloads and the skill of Doueihi, it would create more opportunities for the whole team.

I have a feeling we will be hearing from AD and his management some time very soon. We are not coming across as desperate as we were for LM and we learnt a big lesson with how the media can portray us. I like how Madge is playing this, we’ve thrown him an offer and if he wants it or if souths pitch in then let’s table it up. AD definitely has talent, but the world won’t come to an end if we miss out on him. He needs us more than we need him atm.

This is the type of realistic assessment of our club that I like. We are the ones in the box seat. We have great opportunities available for quality players who are prepared to accept hard work and a fair wage. If you want to be overpaid or you don't want to work hard than go to another club.

Mmm? So we are looking for players who don’t want to be paid highly and want to work harder than most players.
That should attract a better than average response. Should we get in extra people to man the phones?

No we are looking for players that want to win a comp. That takes hard work and it requires getting a talented team on the park. One the key factors in getting a talented team on the park is not overpaying players.


You mean players like Teddy? He has talent and wanted to win a comp?

Teddy is a prime example of a guy that is extremely hard to build a team around if you are a club on the up like us. He is a primma donna with no loyalty at all. Great player but he is the sort of guy who you don't give your back too unless you want a knife in it.

Spot on. The gimp is a mercenary. He wanted a club with plenty of cash that were willing to provide him with the soy-latte lifestyle (and give him the Hollywood teeth). Hence Unca Nick ticked all the boxes.

He's not.

The Tedescos are well off.

Like kids don't have to work ever if they were brought up like that, well off.

Money isn't the issue, and the kid was already a soy-latte lifestyle kid, just from the country.
Ulitmately they promised him success, and lordy has he found it.

When I hear things like this I figure you've never met anyone who is wealthy. I know a wealthy guy who I assume is probably wealthier than the Tedesco's (a retired hedge fund manager with plenty of property investments in the Eastern Suburbs) and if he lends you $2 he wants it back.

I should also state that most of his kids have to work including at low paying jobs.
