Stefano Utoikamanu continues to be harassed at Parra training by Moses and Matterson, decks both of them.
Parra give in and release him to the Wests Tigers.

That's not the way it would go though. Moses and Matterson would go, snot nosed, bawling to the NRL and Greenberg would deregister Stefano.

99.9% J-Rey stood down next week.
Application for salary cap relief will be
lodged pending decision so 350k

Actually I cant see how we get any cap relief for Reynolds. If his case is heard this year and he is exonerated, he would be immediately back on full salary and therefore we cant spent that cap anywhere else.

Ah I wasnt looking hard enough. I was looking int he body of the article and missed the one sentence. Would be happy for it to be true but as others have said, it doesnt make sense with his record.

If Doueihi is confirmed Madge is slowly but surely righting the Cleary wrongs, i wasnt so optimistic about this season but now i see us as a far better unit than last. Just a few more clangers to get rid of McQueen, Packer, JR & Mbye imagine how strong we could be with their collective salaries to go shopping with.

You never know, Mbye might shine with a decent coach and quality players around him.

Its not his playing ability as much as his price tag, Mbye is so far from a $900 k a season player its not funny. He's more than likely a $450-$500 player Max. $900 k you look at players Like Ponga or players of his ability game changers, Mbye is not that nor is JR.

As a massive Mbye fan I agree...I feel he is an above avg player and offers a lot in different positions when fully fit a bit like peachy or gidly however he is defs not worth 900k more 600-700 imo

I'm slightly confused , I'm 100% behind us trying to support our indigenous players on and off field , but hiring a assistant coach based on the fact he is indigenous

Maybe I'm too far away , but I've never heard of the bloke before

He was with WT'S last year and has been promoted to a more senior role MADGE would not have employed him just because he's indigenous MADGE is more professional than that!

I think you have missed my point , we could have signed someone to liaise with the indigenous players and the coaching staff

I don't get why he needs to be an assistant coach , a lot more highly credentialed assistant coaches who are indigenous and even have past NRL experience both on and off field

It shouldn't matter what your skin tone is when coaching , if you can't get it right with a player whether he is orange purple green or red you probably shouldn't be in the role ....

A good coach is a good coach .....period

The way it is portrayed is the club almost seems to be reacting to the LM situation or that we have a issue with indigenous players

He's coached previously has apparently impressed MADGE there is no way WT'S have a problem with indigenous players they already have programmes in place and this appointment strengthens there position footballers tend to be more comfortable dealing with football backgrounded people than someone from outside

Put yourself in the players shoes for a sec , are you more likely to listen to the advice from say a Mal Meninga , ArTie Beetson , Thurston , Inglis ,Thaiday Widders ,Peachey , Preston Campbell etc over a bloke who hasn't played a game of NRL

Yeah, Mal's doing an awesome job as Head Of Performance at the Titans....really had 'em firing last season.
And Inglis is probably not the best bloke to take advice from, he's had nearly the whole gammut of indescretions since he first played NRL. Anyone else probably wouldn't of still been in the game after doing everything he did.

I hate all Qlders ...blah blah blah

Titans had a horrible run with injuries in the forwards last season ....blaming that on Mal is a bit far fetched

What he has done with the pride in the Aussie jersey is more than any coach I can remember

Don't mistake the rapid demise in quality opposition (namely NZ and England) for pride in the jersey.
Tonga showed up with a bit of heart and rolled them, with plenty of the commentators directly saying that there were a few players out on the paddock that didn't have pride in the jersey.
So, not really sure your argument holds much weight.

On LL they are saying that the player who is going to Souths may be Packer.

At his best our pack is stronger with him in it, no question about it. But is he at his best? He's been away for a while and he's on big money. Not sure what to think about that one.

We're spoiled for front rowers. Mikaele, Clark, Twal, Musgrove and Garlic Mayo and Eisenhuth can play there too.

If by some miracle we moved him on, we might have a bit of coin to throw at a pacey back if one made themselves available (I'd wager we'd have to cover some of Packers freight?)

Reckon we’re going to need Packer this year. I’m hoping he’ll get back to his best. He needs to teach the others how to intimidate
