Wonder how much cash we have left for the final spot.

I saw someone elses working out came to $350K

99.9% J-Rey stood down next week.
Application for salary cap relief will be
lodged pending decision so < 350k

< or >? Wouldnt it be if Reynolds is stood down and we get cap relief?

Wow more mathematics!

< is less than, is greater than

Exactly, and as I said, wouldnt the cap remaining be > (greater than) $350?

On LL they are saying that the player who is going to Souths may be Packer.

At his best our pack is stronger with him in it, no question about it. But is he at his best? He's been away for a while and he's on big money. Not sure what to think about that one.

We're spoiled for front rowers. Mikaele, Clark, Twal, Musgrove and Garlic Mayo and Eisenhuth can play there too.

If by some miracle we moved him on, we might have a bit of coin to throw at a pacey back if one made themselves available (I'd wager we'd have to cover some of Packers freight?)

Reckon we’re going to need Packer this year. I’m hoping he’ll get back to his best. He needs to teach the others how to intimidate
We definitely need a hard running, 'take no enemies' prop, can Packer be this man or will he be ''I run 40 m a game' prop? The latter we definitely don't need!

The side is looking good honestly. If we get this hooker that fullback and hooker are sorted.

But, can anyone tell me what we are going to do about Lock?

ET makes tackles and slows the play the ball(gives away penalties too) but only makes 50m or so a game.

Eisenhuth is a good defender but too slow in his hit ups.

Ailioa would be good but for fitness and ninjuries.

We need anlock who can play 80 minutes, run 100m+ and make 30-35 tackles. Any ideas? Think Twal is too slow in attack.

I'd put some kgs on Lawrence and move him into the middle.

So would that mean we’re back down to 28 and would need to fill another position by March 1st?

Too early to blood Seyfarth? Big motor.

I'd have him at 13 with his mobility, high work rate and strong running.

Hes big enough. Can he handle 80 in the middle?

He’s cooked ..
He’s also one high shot away from becoming Quasimodo .

I’d give Luch Leilua a run there. Great fitness and great ball playing skills. Played all his high school footy in the halves and most of the best clubs around have a lock who can ball play.

Not too sure. NRL aren't very clear.
he will stay on our books but If we
apply and are granted dispensation
we would get cap relief to sign #30

As I understand, the player you sign
has to be a like for like replacement
i.e. money wise, position he plays?
but it still has to be applied for and
Approved. His court case factors in
also - we'll see in the next few weeks

Packer will be the highest paid Canterbury Cup player for the next 2 years. He won’t leave and no one will make him an offer

Very few coaches ever put ball players in the team as a lock.

Big Lucy is the best ball playing forward we have - why would you waste him at lock making heaps of defensive tackles that sap his motor so he can't set up tries or cause havoc.

Dumb idea in my opinion - but respect your views.

Disagree - he is raring to go in the NRL.

13 Elijah Taylor

Link man.
Defensive workhorse.
Great guy.

Needs to limit the penalties clearly.
