good call, nrl have a war chest for this. wonder if we are allowed to use it.

lol throw paul carter a 1yr lifeline and see if he can stay off the drink. could be worth a dig.

I wouldn't go near him. Has been sacked from 3 NRL clubs within a few years, after multiple warnings at each.
Plus he doesn't play in a position of need, so there's zero upside to the risk.

I'm all for a reclamation project, but the circumstances have to be right for the club first.

Nowhere reputable. I've only seen it on League Unlimited (uncited) and on one of those dodgy crapshoot rumour sites (who probably got it off League Unlimited).

The jet is an EXCITING OUTSIDE BACK is talked about for ORIGIN. And the Broncos are a HIGH PROFILE CLUB. it's been mentioned at times this year that he doesn't feel settled and could be a bit RESTLESS and finally Souths are in need of a couple of changes and is the team where it all BEGAN.
Not to mention that GI has been rumoured to want to be there next year and they have signed up the Bird to play in the same position as the Jet.

There are a few centres you'd try real hard to sign and the Jet is absolutely one. Especially for us with serious centre problems. It's a no-brainer. I'd go as far as saying that if I had a wish list and open chequebook then he would be the first centre I'd go for.

If he really is coming off contract then I would expect us to make a very, very serious play for him. So WT management please get your feelers out, keep your ears to the ground and get the Wests Tigers story ready to sell, offer him a comfy seat on the bus, bust out the TPA's and tap up his manager, his family, whoever; just offer him a package he can't refuse.

We don't know where we the club is at with centre options for 2018\. If they've already signed some decent options then they're not going to go splashing big coin for Roberts, and he wouldn't come cheap. Knights would go in hard. Sharks would make a play. Souths would probably try to get him back. He'd be in high demand.
