Hi boys, just read on FB that we have signed Harry Grant....have we actually signed him or was it still a loan scenario

The way they’re doing it is Momirovski is being released from his contract to sign a one year deal with storm, but he’s also signing back with tigers for 2021 and 2022, and vice versa for Grant and Storm.

It’s not really a straight up loan, we’re selling him and buying him back. Still smart business in my eyes. NRL did it this way to avoid salary cap issues.

No they aren't...both players remain contracted to their existing Clubs

This is from a new article just out on the NRL site. This is the only way it would be allowed by the NRL due to salary cap issues

Matterson can have some free advice. I'd respect him if he moved for money and admitted it.

I think he is a flog because at 3 clubs now when he reportedly doesn't get his way he walks. There are still lots of good decent people in all generations, especially our youth. He, unfortunately, does not come across as one of them. He never tanked like slimebag pea-hearted wimp Moses, nonetheless, he seems to have a lot to learn about compromise, commitment and being able to understand and learn from feedback. Not good traits for a dude who might need a real job after a couple more head knocks.

Also, the clip was pretty useless so unless you want to see content tagged "eels" it is very missable and you will sleep the same tonight.

Experience is definitely something we lack in our forwards. An experienced high level prop should be and most likely will be on the top of our list for signings for now and next year

Adam Doueihi and Joey Leilua are not enough to make Wests Tigers a premiership contender
The Tigers might have landed two big signings in the last week, but they still don’t have what it takes to compete with the NRL’s best teams writes PAUL CRAWLEY.

Doueihi eyes fullback jersey
NRL: Adam Doueihi wants to make the Wests Tigers fullback jersey his in the 2020 season.

RECRUIT: New Tiger eyes fullback jersey
IF Wests Tigers are to break the NRL’s longest finals drought, they will have to do so with a forward pack that on paper doesn’t cut it with the competition’s heavyweights.

While Tigers chief executive Justin Pascoe maintains his club came out on top in the player trade war after signing Joey Leilua and Adam Doueihi, there is still an alarming lack of experience where it arguably matters most.

It is still their main concern, and it cannot be ignored or overstated.

Aside from veterans Chris Lawrence and Elijah Taylor, who are both coming towards the end of their careers, there isn’t another Tigers forward who has played 100 NRL games.

Lawrence has 240 in the bank and Taylor 175 but they will be pushing to make coach Michael Maguire’s starting side.

Take them out and what you have left is a lot of young talent but no standout forward leader.

The main forward contenders are Alex Twal with 54 games from 18 starts, Josh Aloiai with 72 (36 starts), Thomas Mikaele 23 (five starts), Oliver Clark nine (eight starts), Matt Eisenhuth 56 (36 starts), Zane Musgrove 27 (nine starts), Michael Chee Kam 76 (30 starts)

and Luciano Leilua 43 (10 starts).

Put those forward stats up against the likes of the Sydney Roosters, Canberra, Melbourne and Manly and you can quickly see the Tigers’ predicament.

Maguire is still having to battle some serious salary cap challenges that were not of his making.

Two of the club’s highest-paid forwards, Russell Packer and Chris McQueen, are not really in the mix.

And the Tigers don’t have an experienced dummy-half now that Robbie Farah has retired. Young Melbourne recruit Harry Grant is the first-choice hooker but he has played just 29 minutes in the NRL in two games.

Leilua and Doueihi should give the Tigers more strike out wide. Picture by Darren Leigh Roberts.

The other least-experienced pack in the NRL will be Brisbane but they have boom youngsters such as Payne Haas, David Fifita and Tevita Pangai Jr coming through.

While there is no questioning the talent all the Tigers’ young forwards have, none are yet State of Origin or top-tier Test players.

They have also lost their best forward from last season, Ryan Matterson, to Parramatta.

While the Tigers now have plenty of backline strike power, and Luke Brooks and Benji Marshall give them enough class in the halves, they desperately lack forward experience.

However, they do have enough depth to create a competitive environment that should bring out the best in all of them.

The young Tigers produced some gutsy wins last season against more fancied and experienced opposition packs but still finished outside the top eight.

They haven’t made the play offs since 2011 and with every new season the pressure builds.

Being fair dinkum, if the Tigers make the eight this year they will have overachieved.

Here are the main contenders with their total NRL games, as well as how many games they have started:

Alex Twal 54 games (18 starts)

Josh Aloiai 72 games (36 starts)

Thomas Mikaele 23 games (5 starts)

Oliver Clark 9 games (8 starts)

Matt Eisenhuth 56 games (36 starts)

Zane Musgrove 27 games (9 starts)

Michael Chee Kam 76 games 30 starts

Luciano Leilua 43 games (10 starts)

Print it out and post it up Madge. Moron should have a look at the Broncos Pack.

We have 4 guys with 50+ games and one or two out of Lawrence, ET and Packer will be there.

Deadset oxygen thief.

Seriously, you need a licence to go fishing but not to make a living influencing the view of millions of people through publications like the tele. The world is messed up.

So that could mean that either us or Storm could persuade the player to stay with them? This has a nasty edge to it.

Rubbish article. No research, based off a single stat, not related to our ambitions this year. Complete garbage. Click bait at best. Delete the link now the article is up

No, because Grant will be officially signed to Storm for 2021 and 2022, and Momirovski the same with us, just like how Jai Arrow is with titans this year and Rabbitohs next year.

Crawley and the Telegraph have an agenda against the Tigers. It is plain for all to see - if it is not the case then he and the rag he writes for are the worst Rugby League judges in the media.
The Tigers pack is one of the best to go around for donkeys and because it didn't fit his agenda - Packer is not in contention - what would you know goose, he has been training the house down and will be in Madge's contention and brings 176 NRL games worth of experience but that doesn't fit you being able to put the boot in, Absolute clown that the game has passed by.

The sooner you retire Crawley - the sooner the game will be in a better state.

Russ..Packer has been training in rehab

Tigers storm and JAC Dont reach agreement for 2020 and tigers have moved on from acquiring JAC for 2020.

Tigers believe JAC doesn’t have an interest in signing for 2021 and beyond as well. So can put that one to be for now

Who cares about a goal kicker
We don't have a NO 9!!!!!!!

Harry Grant will be here soon enough. Expect him to be our #9 for this season.

A kid who plays for the Sunny Coast with no NRL experience doesn't count as a No9 imo.
And I doubt he's going to start at 9.

We need an experienced 9, our pack lacks experience as it is.
Grant, Walters, Mbye, Reynolds, ET are not the answer, they're either not 9s or they're not ready.
I also don't think Liddle is the answer, this position is our biggest concern imo and it will define our season and next 5 - 10 yrs

Well that is all you have to look forward to in 2020 - so it is a case of put up with it then. Don't see a problem myself.
