Very odd the Packer situation, I don’t trust anything that Crawley comes out with though.

I asked Madge about Packer last year if he was gonna be back in the team - even back then Madge wasn’t sure if he would get back on the field because of his injury. Think there’s definitely a major issue there.

Walters can play at 9 as stated by some others on here .. out of dummy half he would have a great running game and surprise the defence every now and then with a few darts with speed and a step .. id give him first dibs at number 9 if i was picking the side ... but i aint .. ;-)

I think Walters is probably at his best at 6 but playing Walters at 9 is a good option imo.
Here I was thinking Madge had no choice other than to play Mbye at 9. But then he quietly demotes Mbye to co capitain so he can play him on the bench.

I like thomo at 1 luciano and doehi in the centres ,walters at 9 with mybe on bench with momo on other
wing.This would add all round speed and attack and mybe can cover all backline injuries,

Sure I’m thinking Mbye’s best position is on the bench. The more you reposition players the more you realise that we are missing solid fast finishers and a champion beach sprinter at hooker.

Its pretty clear that if Mbye isnt at 9 he will be in the centre's which is why Madge was willing to let Momo go for a year if we got cover at hooker. I think theres no doubt Madge rates Momo and he is in his plans for the future, but Momo wont be in the centres ahead of Mbye for now doesnt mean that wont always be the case.

As harsh as it sounds i'd have Jennings over Cory, his height is not going to work in his favour with the new rules.

Nofa needs to improve something that’s for sure. Can finish in the corner and runs out of his own end well - but so do majority of modern day wingers, difference is a lot of them are quicker and better in the air than him.

Spot on. Hit ups and finishing in the corner is something pretty much every winger can do. He's no threat in open space and the new rule changes will only emphasise his defensive weaknesses. I thought he was one of our weakest at the 9's, Corey and Jennings looked far better.

Nofo is a bit player from now on as with Rowdy good injury replacements...
