This thread is funny, last week everyone was raving about signing Saab, after 1 game he’s terrible.

The fact he wasn’t playing first grade should have been the first hint he has deficiencies in his game. However, he has size and speed which can’t be taught, just needs a good coach, the right attitude and needs to be fitter.

Hes not playing 1st grade because he has 2 better wingers in front of him,yet Saab doesnt concur
When given his opportunity,I didnt see any hunger or comittment to anything tbh regardless of his supposedly natural athletism. It was invisible, and so was he
We dont have many NRL wingers, but at this stage with this attitude hes not for me unless some turnaround is evident in future games
Mitc Moses 2.0 without the talent..so far

He wants to leave because he doesn’t like the travel, not to do with playing NRL.

Too early to write him off IMO, he’s 19, I still remember Lawrence’s defensive deficiencies at that age. I’d much rather give him the opportunity and hope he improves with a change of clubs rather than someone like Scolari who doesn’t have the physical attributes to ever be more than an average winger in today’s game.

As long as either way all the lovers and haters of Saab realize he is still just potential .....as many players in their 1st 50 games they'll have great days ...and they'll have shockers

Of course he'll get better..and bigger....but with 5 clubs chasing him ,last nite was a perfect audition opportunity and he simply just didnt put in.I was just disappointed
It was almost like the final Moses "performance" in WT colors!!
BTW..no-one "hates"..just judge on attitude, behaviour, performance and upside potential
I hope Bellamy gets him ...(thats if he still wants him after last nite as he develps wingers like no other coach )as he'll get the most out of him...but if he truly wants to move to western sydney and play NRL were really the only option
Saab will get around $25ok whilst we mite possibly get either current Storm winger or Koribete for $400ish which represents much better value

Tigers have to get Korobiete back I’m still fuming we let him go. Don’t care if we overpay he’s worth watching.

I disagree. Overpay has been synonymouswith our club for 20 years and im fuming about that.

If it was ponga or fafita maybe....

Remember... mbye,jrey,packer......

But he can actually play.

As a general rule of thumb, people should not comment on the talents of a player until you've seen them in at least 6 matches.

Way too many idiots that change their opinions on players on a weekly basis. Not just in relation to Saab, it's a standard thing. If Mck scores a double this weekend and he's king of the world. Miss a couple of tackles the week after and he's useless and dropped according to many.

If you want to judge Saab's talents, watch the replays of the nrl games he played last year, as well as replays/highlights of his CC games. Then you can start making informed opinions.

Rather people have a go at a 19yo. How many 19 year olds do we have in the nrl? None. Our rookies don't debut till like 20-21. The kid is clearly unhappy and in a bad mental place, asked for 3 releases in a month. Put him in a dysfunctional team up against the best team in the comp and dont be surprised that he's not at his best.

BB,you had a go at me earlier about making a statement about Saab that you said it was the """most stupidest thing you have read"""...
You assumed that I didn't give the kid a break, and we wouldn't have given Koro or JAC a chance with my way of thinking...
If you read my post correctly,I said based on his game last night and if I had to play him or Jennings if he was with us I said I would pick RJ...
The young bloke was given a chance in the Dragons FG NRL side,to me he looked very unsure of himself, made basic fundamental mistakes that led to 2 tries, one was disallowed, that being he left his opposite man unmarked which happen to be Morris..
I did however say that he is young, needs more time to become an NRL quality winger...
I didn't say he was completely hopeless,I chose to use the anology that I did if he was here with us at this point in time if on his performance last night,I would have chosen RJ over him purely for his experience at this level irrespective of what people think of RJ SAAB needs more time to become familiar and comfortable in the wing position at NRL level..

Bulldogs apparently looking to sign Cotric we would be stupid to not try sign him

We should get BJ to call him and encourage him over.

He wants to play in the centres if he leaves Raiders. Poor investment if we spent our money on him to play in centres

He’s much better on the wing but he plays well at both. Probably just wants more money

What’s stupid is when people claim the club would be stupid not to try and sign a player

I think the people that make angry, negative comments about player rarely change their minds. They just wait until a player makes a mistake that proves them right, no matter how many good things the player has done.
I would say each player has own death riders that are committed to their opinions.

Why the eye roll? Do those two players not have a good relationship? I am assuming because the played together for several years there would be some rapport there. That's how we got BJ in the first place, through his brother.

He is a good player but he is NSW country through and through from Cooma. He won't leave so we need to devote our resources to realistic targets.

TT, to get that experience he. needs to be exposed to the NRL McGregor can either continue with him in the NRL or send him back to ISP and he can work on areas of his game. Either way it is good for his development. Personally, I believe he is unsure of his size and needs to realise he can match it with Tupou.

He’s yet to commit to Canberra for whatever reason. No harm in making him an offer

He ticks all the boxes of what we need, don’t get too upset about it mate ?
