TBH Woods played at his best when he was with the WT, he was one of the first picked for NSW SOO.

His best football by far was with us,certainly he did the wrong thing by the club but at a reasonable price he would slot into our forward roster and provide experience

$100K only as penance for what he did.

TBH Woods played at his best when he was with the WT, he was one of the first picked for NSW SOO.

He is like a bloody lost soul and plays like it.
Some people make a great big mistake in their career path and he is definitely one big example.
Probably unforgivable what he did with the club that gave him Captaincy and the commentary he came out with was pretty poor.
But forgive but don't forget is my motto so on his return .... yes I think return to WT would be a good result for both parties. I know that his form has not been outstanding but return to his junior club and taking a forwards leadership role may work.

Just read 5 pages trying to catch up on any news, not one rumour or signings, 5 pages basically debating what half we need. Sure we need a half, but a goal kicker and a few backs who can run would also help

The thread is called suggestions and rumours, so don't be surprised if people are merely making suggestions about who they'd like to see signed.

I get that ..... but mate .... 99% of this is becoming straight out of suggestions basket. Not at all complaining about the guys posting well meaning suggestions .... but those gems of rumour postings are nowhere to be found.

Woods left because we wanted him to be in a leadership position, and he couldn't hack it. Why take him back now to be a leader? Maybe later in his career he might be able to fill a leadership role, but he has shown no signs so far either with us or post with us that he could handle it.

I remember Woods wanting to know who the coach was going to be the next year, that is fair enough before you sign a contract. He wasn't suggesting JT be fired, he just wanted the decision to be finalised one way or the other before he signed on.

Does anyone have any facts other than that?

He pissed off when he was Captain. We've an issue with captains of quality.

He left to play in a stable club that wasn't in the headlines all the time, they were his words, irony is he was a major part of the headlines with his 3 mates, and that worked out swimmingly for him didn't it

Personally couldn't care less whether they were here before and left for more money, because we had a lousy coach or whatever. Woods would be a good pickup at the right price. Doesn't look happy at Cronulla and is, despite the knockers, a former SOO prop, very experienced front rower and a former WT captain. He is someone I reckon would go well under Madge's coaching.

The bloke used to make 180m a game, in 60 3m runs while reversing into contact. In todays game his play the ball would be so slow that the refs would be blowing six again to the defensive team for him slowing down his own ruck. Guy is a pelican, he can go kick rocks.
