I'll start a rumour
Cartwright going from Panthers to the Rabbits
That part is fact
Probably on close to minimum wage
Rumour is
We are going to sign Alex Johnston and he will take Jennings spot
Money from Jennings and Robbie Farah debacle will more then cover his contr

Jed Cartright already signed by souths to the end of 2023, saw it in sundays paper, announced on souths website today

Elliot and CHN would be starters in our side,Sue as a backup like someone said is better value then Clark, and Meaney is a speedy fullback being played on the wing

I think Elliot is a ball hog, Sue is nowhere near as good as Clark and that is while he is conscious, Meany I like but too small, might as well have kept Thommo.

CHN seems ok but I am yet to be convinced.

Given the recent talk of Sue on thread, was surprised to see him up so high on the front rower list.

We need players who can get on their feet quickly and play the ball
Looking at these stats shows how obscure they can be
Look at Haas and Woods
Hass only make 14cm more per run then woods
Difference being Haas hits the line with force and plays the ball fast
Woods on the other hand jogs into the line, does a pirouette on his toes, is helped to walk backwards so he doesn't fall.
This gives the defence plenty of time to re set for the next play
A stat I would like to see is how many meters are made in the next play after both Hass and Woods are tackled
How many penalties for the defence being offside on the next play
How many tries on the next play due to the speed of the play the ball
Woods just looks and is so slow
These stats don't show enough to make judgement on who we should be targeting
You can watch a game and see some players have the speed and intensity
We don't really have those players
Where is our
Nathan Brown
Taukeiaho
Linday Collins
Hass
Eg
Thomas Mikaele would be as close as we have
We need a big mobile prop that takes 3 of 4 defenders when he is on

As far as backs go I think Johnston would be a great upgrade on Jennings
I would look at Blake Green in the Halves and he would not be expensive for a half
And (I know I know) Milford could be worth a look on the cheap
He would be looking to resurrect his career
He just hasn't worked at Brisbane
Green a controlling Half and Brooks or Milford a running half
All I know is something needs to change or we will have more of the same

Not a huge fan of AJ. But Is significantly better than RJ and at least he has pace, RJ couldn’t beat my arthritic granny to the TAB

A lot of people saying Meaney is too small, he is taller and heavier than Papenhyzen, I don't get it

The only criteria for signing anyone should be what they can add to our team and the cost of taking them on. Personally couldn't care less whether they were here before and left for more money, because we had a lousy coach or whatever. Woods would be a good pickup at the right price. Doesn't look happy at Cronulla and is, despite the knockers, a former SOO prop, very experienced front rower and a former WT captain. He is someone I reckon would go well under Madge's coaching.

PLODDER✅✅✅

Very few players can make it at that size. How many other fullbacks or wingers are Pap’s size and are top shelf players.

Im yet to see Pap do anything outstanding. Ok, a long field goal and a stack of long runs to the try line through open space, but apart from that, not much.

Still not big enough for me.

How big do you like your men Russ?

First thing we need to do is sign a hooker. Cameron McInnes or Brandon Smith would be the players I would target.

Brandon Smith would be a fantastic signing. Can’t see a Melbourne letting him go but would be worth a try.

Madge has coached both players I think. Brandon Smith is a gun and agree he’s the better option. We need a quality 9 our halves are questionable .

Both are great targets. Both signed on for next year but Brandon Smith could be a good chance of leaving storm if Cameron plays on

Would be good Brandon Smith suits Madge’s style of play.

Given Belllamy has indicated he won’t be coaching after next year, I wonder if the Storm will make a play for Madge. Would make sense.

Madge is not Cleary he won’t leave if still wanted.
Has a young family and lives in Maroubra no chance he goes to the communist state of Victoria.
