f a player gets a release but still plays Nrl the 3rd party deal should go with that player as it is ment to have nothing to do with the club

Non-affiliated 3rd Party deals do

There is already an allowance in the Cap available to every Club for Club sponsored 3rd Party agreements...

As a player you have to be careful as well .....when Mark Gasnier was playing for the Dragons he took less but was getting paid by 9 on top..when he fired up in the back of a cab ..they didn't pay so off he toddled to French Rugby as the Dragons wouldn't take up the difference..

Well I guess that is a risk that a player takes when signing any contract
Play up or bring the game into disrepute you risk loosing it all
Including 3rd party payments
No one wants to sponsor a dead beat and tarnish their name

Harry's support of the tigers is weak. I'll give him credit for providing sponsorship to the club when they couldn't get any, but I don't think the deals were ever big money and he's let Balmain get merged, the leagues club fold and then Balmain die. Maybe he does stuff behind the scenes for us but it seems more that he likes to attract a lot of public attention for meagre offerings and doesn't mind seeing his supposedly beloved club die. I'm not blaming him for Balmain's death but he didn't help when surely they were desperate and asking.

Get all club payments and TPA to go through the NRL, (so they will actually be real TPAs) and then focus on reducing the corruption within the NRL itself (because no plan is perfect and I bet there will be dodgy deals done there).

They do all go through the NRL - all TPAs are reported and ratified by the NRL. So are all contracts, registered with NRL. NRL knows exactly who is getting what.

If you are talking about the unofficial "shadowy" brown paper bag backdoor carpark deals, there's nothing the NRL can do without evidence.

If I choose to "gift" Harry Grant a brand new house and I have no official affiliation with the Tigers apart from being a fan, there's nothing the NRL can do. Any club with heavy-hitting supporters are going to see that clout impact the roster.

Keery to re sign with Roosters for a reported $900,000 a year for 3 years
I just don't know where they keep on getting their money from
That's an extra $200,000 a year on his current contract
Keery and Tedesco alone would eat up $2,000,000 a year
I guess when they say SBW will sign and pay roosters $400,000 to play for the club, that is their way of buttering us all up for what's coming

It blows my mind how the NRL want an even comp but turn a blind eye to cheating.
There books like fine and they always will be because they are smart in hiding the truth..
Even ex Roosters players joke about side payments, Golf memberships, Kids private school fees, Rent free apartments, etc etc.... One day someone is going to come out and tell all and it will all fall apart..

Anyway not much we can do about it except keep trying and maybe another 2005 year will come along.
I think the Salary cap should be looked at and maybe moved to a points system to ensure talent is spreed around. Rewarding the clubs who develop there juniors as well would be a great start so clubs like Roosters / Souths don't keep poaching the best talent without putting all the work in.

The NRL should just look after all the salary caps for all clubs so every contract has to go through them and be approved and then all clubs will be on an even playing field as the NRL knows how much every player is on and how much cap they have left for each club

With the whole SBW thing going on currently, it seems that the NRL looking after contracts wouldn't make much of a difference. Rules will still be bent to accommodate the Roosters wishes.
