And the story goes …

Blake Ferguson caught on CCTV doing Coke, certain publican sent footage to roosters asked to be paid off to not release it. They did. Deducted amount from Ferguson contract upgrade. Basically he's on $250k a season now until he leaves roosters. NRL head in sand about it.

So the NRL will register a contract for an Australian and Origin representative for under 250K..very interesting…

I think the Integrity unit should be informed of this.. I would definitely take Fergo for that price...

If they deducted amount from his wage, his full wage would still be included in the cap.

We should be in a position to offer Curtis Scott a healthy contract. Off contract and seems like a player who can penetrate a defence.

Storm will offer him a contract, as will the Sharks (especially if they don't get Aaron Gray). I'd be eyeing off some of the Sharks outside backs in the 20's for the future though, they look good.

Funny heard that rumour but without the name mentioned.
Wonder if the publican is a roosters fan?
Just saying….

Wouldn't the Roosters be required to inform the Integrity Unit if true?

Sharks' supporters suggested he wants back in Sydney.

Yep iive had enough of brooks. hes had enough chances.

Go for a star playmaker. Cronk, maloney. Weve got the money. So sick of our game management and kicking game. Under 10's could do better

Very harsh mate, very harsh.

Hopefully only due to anger and disappointment.

On the last couple of weeks performance, I would be looking for a half that clubs are trying to shed due to the cap, or possibly a young player (Mitch Cornish, Lachlan Croker, Kyle Laybutt, Drew hutchinson).

Someone needs to put pressure on, and potentially replace Brooks.

I agree mate, Cornish and Croker would be good cheap options plus I would not rule out bringing back Darren Nichols (in fact i would get him right now) and put heaps of pressure on Brooks to start performing. JLJ will never put any pressure on Brooks.

Also we just need a big pack of forwards that gain yardage and defend smart and aggressive. Look at the Raiders, they just went out and bought big experience forwards with plenty of go-forward and their backs work of them.

Ryan Hoffman would be a good cheap experience option (1 year) at 2nd row and bring some professionalism to the club plus I would go out get John Bateman or Liam Farrell from Wigan (who is aggressive as, high work rate and can play either backrow or centre).

I thought that Boyle from Titans went okay also if we need a cheap option for another prop.

Watson would also be the other target, can play a number of positions and could be a much better potential gamebreaker
At the other end, we need to rebuild through depth on some fringe players as somewhere along the line for reggies and U/20's. Blokes that want a chance….our young players right through the grades has gone massively backwards.

Yeah I can't believe no club has pulled off a raid on some of the better ESL forwards yet. Nathan Brown (Knights) should be all over that in the prop department.

How is that harsh? Hes had 80-90 nrl games and still cannot kick or organise around the park. Im basing it on fact not emotion.

Watson's showing a bit of a passing game against the Storm tonight. He's got a good turn of pace too. This is the most I've seen from him for a while.
