Staines and JAC would be amazing. Not getting my hopes up for either of them

I wonder what is going to happen if the JAC deal doesn't go through

Any potential signings must be watching the last 7 weeks and see us barely scrape past the dogs ...thrash Brisbane and then suffer 5 losses ...throw in we haven't beaten a side that was in the Top 8 at the time .......

Any supporter of the WT's deserves to be awarded the VC

Would be monumental for us to sign him. We haven’t signed a current origin player in forever. Would really boost the morale of the fans and the club if we could actually sign a big name

It won't help the problems we have in the forward pack ...but mentally it will be good for the fringe supporters

Well we are crusted on hard core supporters of the club ....we'd find the positives if we signed Boy George as a prop for 5 years

For the younger folk who don't frequent a Forum like this every day many are probably more excited about the movements of Harry Styles than our constant thrashings

We've lacked genuine pace since JAC and Simona exited. I am excited a current SOO and Aust rep wants to return. I would think all supporters are very pleased?

But I also realize that JAC won't stop the beatings we got v The Roosters on Saturday

Watching talau get mowed down with ease with a 10m head start was depressing

I think signing someone like JAC would make us a 1-2 try better team each week, capped off with morale boosting inside the sheds. He has a very likeable personality

Wow so in 2021 we'll be paying Brooks Mbye Reynolds Packer Nofoaluma and Joey to play for other teams...

I like it..

I do.

Take for instance if we were able to offload Mbye and Reynolds while still paying half their salary. That combined spare 800k and two squad places can get us JAC and Staines. Our squad will be much stronger with those two ins and outs. So while we're paying for players to be elsewhere we're still stronger as a result.

Of course if we spend it on Proctor and Aetkins then we'll be worse off.

One issue is that we don’t have anyone backing up. When Talau got tackled after his line break we have about three guys there with him. Roosters had their whole team back

JAC at fullback should be following the ball constantly looking for opportunities

It was an issue, as was replacing Liddle that would have been straight down the middle on that play, instead he was running off the field. Don't see JAC as a fullback option and whilst I want speed, have been waning in my enthusiasm for wanting him back here for a while now, particularly on top dollar.

I want to see Madden play alongside Brooks over the coming weeks to better determine our needs in the halves, then decide whether we can afford to spend big bucks on a winger.

Very few if any players at all in the history of the game "would make us 1-2:try better team each week", but we certainly need some something better on our left flank.

JAC did pretty good with us in a rubbish team. He’s someone you can give the ball and he’ll do something. So many times this year the outside backs have got the ball and had a half chance but weren’t fast enough it skilful enough. JAC turns half chances into tries a lot of the time

I think you are looking back at JAC with us with rose coloured glasses.

Would rather spend the money in the halves myself - Burton would be one,
Try Madden with Brooks before the end of the year and see if we need a half

JAC is not a FB and will not turn the club around, I think other players will look
if he came to us and say "Dope" or he only went there because no one else
had the dough/or he was there before. Souffs are favorites to get him in my book.

Burton has that class, got a great pass, defensively very strong. And forces a lot of dropouts, something we have lacked for years!

Then use more money on a player like Christian Welch instead of JAC! Welch is a deadset GUN, I believe he’s the best fwd in QLD! Super reliable, tough as team, great offload, will take on anyone, no fear no hesitation

100% with this.
JAC is not a fullback and it’s his new manager who is pushing this line. We have other priorities for next year and need to sign players with a winning attitude and leadership qualities in our key positions which are lacking ..... half 5/8, fullback, prop and/or back row.
