Burton would get folded playing in the fowards at his current age/weight etc
Would be a total waste ?

I agree, Burton doesn’t has the body shape to convert into the forwards (88kg 190cm).

One of the smallest forwards in the game is Cameron Murray (90kg 184cm) whose much more compact. And Wade Graham (96kg 186cm) was already a chunky 5/8 when he entered first grade.

Burton will add weight as his career progresses but because of his height he’ll have that leaner shape. He’s a half and should stay the course of being a half, he could become a dominant NRL playmaker and if he can’t get a run at the Panthers then he should do himself a favor and find another club.

Thought the same about Wade Graham

Presuming we offload 8 of our 9 off-contract blokes (McIntyre would be the only one I'd keep, haven't seen Dylan Smith play at all though), what are we going to get?

Probs upgrade more development players and a smoky or two.

The team we’ve been throwing out there each week is pretty much a CC side anyway, based on quality.
So the young fellas should feel right at home when they debut lol

Not much else they can do. Hamstrung by sins of the past. Sooo much cap space taken up by average players...

Contracts mean nothing - we will probably pickup more contracted players than uncontracted over the next year.

We may offload 8 contracted players, but we are promoting 4 development players to the squad of 30. The scope to upgrade the squad is pretty limited. So, next year is not looking much different to this year. It won't be until 2022 that we have the chance to make significant changes.

Staggs request for a release appears to have been denied, so if anyone is looking at signing him it will be for 2022

So can start talking to him in November in that case.

Staggs is COMPLETELY wasted at the Broncos! I have seen this kid playing at FLB coming through and he was as good as any back! Absolutely wasted at centre! One of the strongest pound 4 pound players I have ever seen! Speed, power and acceleration is unrivalled in the NRL! Bring him to the Tigers! You could even play him in the forwards, throw him in amongst it in the middle! Would be a weapon of a signing!

He’d be wasted at tigers as well. Look at BJ, barely gets the ball in attack.

That's only because of Marshall.

Marshall doesn't help BJ in attack.

I believe you can talk to a player even before that date but cannot put an offer in front of them. I was listening to Fox or triple M the other day and they mentioned that.
Seem strange as whats the point of the date but as we will know that doesn't stop player managers.

I was thinking the same. He’s only young and stuck behind Fusitua and Maumalo. Great build for a winger, can be approached November 1st

Have heard some info from a super reliable source. There are some issues in tiger land. A few players often mentioned here for their less then Stella performances are sick of.madge and his hard line attitude and its coming to a head.
Very much for a reason for the drop in performance .
