Re the Burton rumor / poster above...I am not doubting our poster, but Burton is still contracted until the end of 2021. Penrith have not given him permission to negotiate with other teams / have said they want to keep him long term.

So, I'd be interested to know 'how' we have supposedly made him the best offer so far. He is not allowed to negotiate.

Think that was staines but he's "available" to put an offer in from November.
As it goes sign him for 2022 then you try to get them released early - and with what will be their salary cap pressure imagine they will.

Cleary - Luai are obviously the preferred and they have big wraps on Daine Laurie coming through the ranks.

After tonight's display why don't we offer Brooks, Momirovski and Talau for Grant and JAC??
Give Brooks and Talau a year under Bellamy - and it could do them wonders - and we should go and target young Brayden Trindall from Sharks.
Staggs would also be a dream to have in this team.
Also feel someone of Walmsley's build would be good - a bulldozer type with limited minutes.

Though Benji's a bit unpopular on here atm, think he deserves to be considered as a halves coach and someone like ET could be great for our defensive coaching also - he's got one of the best techniques in the game.

Benji would not be a halves coaches bootlace imo.

Plays off the cuff, always has, when things get a little difficult, he drags out the Hail Mary plays that invariably a disaster and generally at the wrong time (e.g. like last night kicking on the third). You need a proper half to coach, someone like Johns, Cronk etc. that have a structure that they are able to impart.

Yeah actually amended that as a mentoring role for the younger lads - seeing as someone clarified he has a media job sorted post-career anyway.

While his career never really took off in the right trajectory, think he has a lot to offer in terms of helping them with the transition into the NRL - such as the emotional demands and other guidance.
His quick rise and high profile in the game and ability to stay out of trouble shouldn't be disparaged. He's been a fantastic role model in that capacity and having a lot of Polynesian players he'd be great with helping the club attend to cultural inclusiveness - to help nurture their development and support any other needs.
