I don't like it when our "recruitment offer" is all over the media.
I think the recruitment process should be between the club and player then published by the club when all is said and done.
This way, by going through the media, we set ourselves up for a fall (Trell ring any bells??).

Has the club issued a press release on this ? It is more likely to have come from JAC's manager. They like to play clubs off against each other to maximise the deal. Not much the club can do about that.

It's just that I recall Mr Lee Hagipantelis being quoted as saying Wests Tigers as a club were back in the game in considering Latrell Mitchell as a recruitment possibility.

JAC confirmed on television after the game against Souths that he will not be with the Storm next year.

All we hear from them is we need a full on roster overhaul... But when Madge starts doing it they complain and say we should be keeping these players etc.... You cannot win

There is currently 7 other teams below us on the ladder with most of them with better rosters than us but WE are there focus... Not Dogs who sit on bottom with 2 wins, Not Broncos who have been shot all year with 3 wins and a squad of rep players, Not Cows with 4 wins.....But us because we help them sell papers... Bunch of idiots

Not that easy. The NRL are reducing the number of contracts down to 28 from 30. So it’s not only cap space that is a issue but also roster spots. It’s why they are letting Benji go. Things could change if Grub Packer and Moses M find a new home and we are only paying half or less of the freight.

Is that in concrete..

Have seen nothing official from the NRL in that regard..

No nothing offical but it will happen, they have let a few leaks out there to soften the offical notice when it comes.

If I were the Tigers I would fill up 30 spots now and when it’s reduced just discard Packer and Reynolds

Yeah I agree ? if it’s possible
That’s the unknown, if there is going to be 28 players is there any possibility of cutting two players with no cap impact?
For example can we just pay out Packer and JRey, go our separate ways and have that payout sit outside the cap because whilst they’d have been in the top 30, they don’t make the top 28
Seems to me there’s a case to be made by a club management team worth it’s salt

Just need to pick the right one.............. which we don't have a great track record of doing.

True but Asotasi was in his mid 20’s and NZ Captain when Souths signed him I believe.
