God I hope Packer gives up and retires, hopefully we start engaging in more club options when creating contracts with risky signings

Packer and Reynolds , $1.5m tied up with absolutely zero return. I really thought Reynolds was the kind of guy who wouldn’t sit on the sideline earning his pay cheque and would want out to earn his money. I don’t think the tigers could be any clearer that he’s not required.

Problem is someone has to be willing to take him. If he can’t find a new job there’s no point leaving his current one.

The point of him getting another job is to extend his money making ability. If he sits in Reggies this year, he will get his dollars next year and end his career. If he looks elsewhere and gets a buyer, he extended his career by another 2 years and potentially another $1m in the pocket.

If that doesnt drive him, nothing will. Trouble is, people aren't wasting money on anyone in the current environment.

Milford is the exact kind of player I would hate the club to sign. We don’t need any more of these lazy, uninspiring fellas chewing up our cap.

Mbye can continue to chew it up then
In a club trade, we won't get a Addo-Carr calibre player for an Mbye calibre player
Both are on similar $
Both have a similar ability
A change of scenery for both of them could work well, and it may not
Nothing ventured nothing gained

Both players have been next to useless
But at least it would be as Bellamy says

"A like for like trade"
12 months would be fine by me as I can't see us unload Mbye any other way
Unless of course we just Liquidated him
And that would just be a loss for us with no chance of any kind of improvement

I believe he has been looking and we have been looking but no one is keen

If we lose Garner to Manly could BJ be converted into an impact forward?

No, his only hope us to lose the kgs, grow his hair and hope Maguire mistakes him for his younger brother.

Our first priority should be Staines. We need a top flight fullback if Doueihi is No 6.

Addo-Carr 1st
Then stains

I should have explained after JAC. ?

Although not on huge $ you’d expect Billy Walters to go to Brisbane too

Anything is possible but .... With his current tackle technique ..... answer is no.
Attack may be ok but as impact definitely doesn’t appear to be a workhorse forward potential.

Some good points, though in my opinion, the biggest problem our fans have with Mbye is his price to output ratio. Where Milford is just horrible effort wise and attitude wise...think Mbye in this case is better then Milford.

If you look outside of his price and Mbyes captaincy you would say he had a nuffie kind of year, but his performances haven’t been atrocious (aside from bunnies early in year). Tigers do not need another “ME” player that is entitled and continues to maintain the culture (or lack thereof) we all know is present.

Milford couldn’t do much with Brisbane’s pack (younger but better than ours I’d say at full strength), don’t know how much he would do with our boys. Yeah it could work with a swap deal, but I highly doubt we would come out better

BJ's problem is his motor. He can't defend properly in the centres, he'll be gassed after 10 minutes in the backrow unless he drops some weight and ups his work rate significantly.

I think Garner is worth keeping for what it’s worth...he seems to link well with Brooks

however if were to get into a bidding war for overs, manly can definitely have him

Wouldn't be a bidding war, he is signed with us for next year already.

Hopefully with an off season (from memory last year he was training himself), and given there is a club option for the following year, he'll rip in and get himself in shape.

Ah. Wasn’t aware of the situation cheers

Either way, I don’t think I’d be too upset if we lost him
