Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Report today that Ferguson has rejected a 3 year offer from tigers to sign a 1 year deal with roosters. If you wanted any further proof of that rumour I posted a few weeks ago about him messing up and roosters using it against him, there it is. Also shows how toothless the NRL is in monitoring these things

IMO we dont need him anyways….If we can get Rona our backline is right for 2018...

Sue has had a poor year- cant explain it - but he is certainly a better player than what his form has shown this year. We cant afford to let any more forwards go without replacing them. Hopefully a good off season will set up for a better season next year.

Sue was geared to be a Backrower in 2017, but has mainly been playing tight under Cleary. If his future is in tight, an off-season & a few more KG's could see him improve.

Personally, he looks like he doesnt know where he is most of the time and I feel he has reached his limit. [Dont Cry Geo]

Sue will be put on a Sharks supplement scheme and back in the middle off the bench where he belongs..

Been carrying a back injury for a month or so that may require surgery…Seasons done so get it done...although the World Cup may have a bearing..

Sue is a baffling one - but I think he may do well coming off the bench next year as a middle fwd. Wouldn't be too upset if we offloaded him (to spend the $$ elsewhere in the forward pack), but I think he's got something to offer behind Packer and Matulino.

Sounds good…I hope in 2018 he is a middle bench player who can come on for 20 min spurts and not just plod but make a real impact to our go forward...sort of like Tapau and Gavet did off the bench in 2014

Surely there has got to be at least a couple more decent signings this year - we must have a bag of money still available under the cap. I reckon we are definitely a couple of quality signings short of a top 8 side. Ivan might just be biding his time knowing there will be players potentially offloaded at seasons end. It happens every year.

TBF that rumour has been around on twitter etc for months

Following the rumours we have had a look at quite a few, so I'm sure we'll keep at it.
Check out some of the players rumoured to have knocked us back this year:

Felise Kaufusi,
Brenton Lawrence?,
Connor Watson,
Blake Ferguson,
Andre Savilio,
Luke Lewis,

and these guys we supposedly talked to and who knows what will happen:
Morgan Boyle,
Curtis Rona,
Greg Eastwood (talks apparently stalled at asking price, but who knows)
Jeremy Latimore,
Sam McKendry

Even if we sign ET and Eiso we still have six spots to fill (and bugger all decent juniors left to pick from) so we'll have to get some more… we just got to be patient.

Official? Maybe none. I don't know if we officially say we have offered someone a contract but they turned us down. SG may know more definitely which is which.

bugger been patient, go in hard and get VETE AND BOYLE and hope we still can get RONA when the aru work out there issues. or we will end up with LOVETT AND EDWARDS AGAIN NEXT YEAR.

Rochow could already be on the move from Melbourne.

the way things are panning out i think we will not see any further signings, there just does not seem to be that much of any quality left to take, and it now appears players are knocking us back and going elsewhere. has anyone got any good news regarding anyone who might be coming.

oh really …. not again.
take another red pill.
