Agree Mate - I think he has more talent than Grant as well.

Grant is a better defender, Liddle a better DH and neither have a kicking game at this stage.

If we got Grant, I would be keeping Liddle and getting rid of Simpkin if one of them had to go.

Don’t think he is better than Grant but he is much better than average imo. Good passing from the ground; quick out of dummy half. Not sure about his kicking game

I know Liddle hasn't played 53 games for Australia nor 35 SOO for the Bananabenders like Harry Grant.

However I can offer that Liddle has played 43 NRL games to Grants 17 NRL games.

I can also add Liddle has a 94.7% tackle efficiency to Grants 91.8%.

And did nothing apart from being injured.

I see some have a emotional attachment to him but basing on facts his done nothing with his time as yet

Why is a different opinion an emotional attachment? I think he’s a good player. That’s a critical analysis not an attachment. Why demean others’ opinions just because they differ from yours?

Because his been in grade for ages and done nothing you don’t think it’s possible for you to be emotionally attached?

How long has he been in grade and what’s he done?

Made an immediate difference to the team when he returned from a 12 month layoff and has the best passing game in the side. Gets the forwards rolling forward without difficulty as well.

BIG statement....

Before we signed Liddle I read an article saying literally every other club was trying to sign Liddle

But he signed with us so I think 15 other clubs knows how much talent he has

That worked out well for us.

Liddle having a bad run of injuries means nothing
Same thing happened to Benji, he was constantly getting injured year after year with his shoulders and he turned out good for us in the end
He helped win a premiership

I hope he proves me wrong times ticking.

Nope. not on same money... No way.
As they say the Hooker in the hand is worth two in the bush.
Grant is 100% the real deal. We win games with Grant playing.
Liddle, may be talented. But injured players tend to get injured again and the guy hasn't played 80 minutes. He can score and create tries, but he isn't reliable and consistent!

Two very different Hookers.
Grant is more like Cam Smith/Anthony McCullough. Consistent, into tackling and defense.
Liddle is a lot more like Issac Luke. Gets through players, passes and creates opportunities.

Grant is the far better player for those reasons. Far more well rounded and into everything. He owns the whirlwind position. Yet....

There is a case for Liddle. Namely he combines better with Brooks. Brooks has been almost silent this year and I think it has to do with Grant going into hooker. If Grant can't give better early ball to Brooks were not creating opportunities and scoring. ... I hate to think that Brooks is incompatible with Grant as both would be good signings together. Maybe Simpkin + Liddle is a hooker solution but BOTH have not proven themselves. Liddle shows flare, we all know that flare works for awhile then people work out the tricks. Grant has ticker and I would back him.

Wayne Bennett is almost ready to pick Grant at 9 for QLD.
MG has Grant as the top 5 players you would start a new franchise with.
Grant has real future. We would be nuts not to sign him if offered the opportunity. He is a top shelf player.

Considering he been out injured for the last two years you're right he has done much but what he did when given the opportunity showed some of the promise that awaits I would say Madge brought him along slowly this year to give him confidence and with a full preseason under his belt in 2021 he could be anything.

It’s fairly simple

JAC is an elite player who will instantly improve any team he goes too

Graham is an average player who won’t improve a team like ours one tiny bit, I would honestly prefer Momirovski to him. He is the exact player we need to steer clear of

CG is light years ahead of Momirovski. I’d take him if he was available, he’d be our best centre since the early day of Chris Lawrence.

Let’s calm down a little. He’s had a very good finish to the year, helped a whole heap by Cody Walkers insane form.

Let’s see CG do it for all of next season.

He’s been doing it for a couple of years now, he played for the PMs 13 last year.

I’m not trying to knock Momirovski either, I like him, but I’ve been saying for 2 years CG is a future origin player and he is headed in that direction.
