if in fact he gets permission to speak to other clubs, we should be banging down Angus Crichton's door. he would be brilliant for us.

Don't be silly ... we are still working on finalising our 2020 roster... Plenty of time for 2021 roster this time next year..

Everyone keeps talking about backrow, well here is a name who is off contract 2021 and was one of the best players 2nd half of the year and would add to the backrow area where we lack grunt and size - Siosifa Talakai.
This guy is stocky, has a big engine, runs tough lines and was outstanding back end of the year. He would also be cheap.

Another player would be Spencer Leniu (Prop from Penrith) who i think will come into his own next year with Tamou departure but would be a fantastic pick up.
I would also try to bring back the Sironen brother's - both have improved massively since they left. I think Bailey is only now displaying the potential he has always had while **Curtis just needed a new settling away from his father to grow into the player he has become (still bit injury prone, but a much better player than when he was here).**

Curtis just needed to get away from Jason Taylor, and play as an edge forward instead of a Battering Ram roll JT had him playing.

No to Moses and I think Brooks should be on thin ice next season.
Preform or perish.

Thing is that Brooks needs Moses, they play well together.

But no chance at all he comes back here, no chance at all he leaves Parra

I thought they were pretty crap playing together actually, like they didn’t even know each other’s game.

Think your thinking of Leota, Leniu isn’t in their best 17. They do look alike.

The Mole: Mitchell Pearce return to Sydney Roosters gradually falling into place
By The Mole

The dominoes are slowly but surely falling into place for Mitchell Pearce to make a return to the Sydney Roosters in 2021.

Pearce played 11 seasons and more than 200 games at the Roosters before moving to the Knights in 2018. Forced out by Cooper Cronk's signing, the 31-year-old appeared destined to finish his career in Newcastle.

But Kyle Flanagan's indifferent year at the Roosters, coupled with the Knights' poor finish to the season, started the ball rolling for a shock game of halfback musical chairs.

The Roosters told Flanagan that he was free to leave and he has joined Canterbury.

In the meantime, the Knights have been linked with both English ace Gareth Widdop and Eels playmaker Mitchell Moses.

Add to that the possibility of Pearce being asked to take a pay cut at the Knights and the fact he misses his family in Sydney, and it's just a question of whether the Roosters can negotiate a release and still stay under the salary cap.

Stay tuned for further developments.

Bring Mitch home.?

He was supposedly returning home with Parra but appears to be going peared shape somehow I dont think he would be welcomed back to WT'S

Mitch Moses 7
Brooks 6
AD centres
Nicholas Hynes fullback
🙂

Anyone who threw a game playing for us should never be discussed as a player to get.

I know he did the Third but can't we overlook if it was partially subsidised by parramatta

No!!! Whats to stop from him doing the same again when when Madge tells him something that he doesn't want to do.

Angus Chrichton anyone?

The Roosters pursuit of teenage sensation Jopseh Suaalii could see them lose Origin second-rower Angus Crichton as the club begin shedding salary cap space to secure the Rabbitohs junior.
The Daily Telegraph report Suaalii has knocked back a $2 million offer from South Sydney, where he's played his junior rugby league, and is on the radar of fierce rivals the Roosters, who have offered a long-term deal.
Suaali is under contract at Redfern until the end of next year and would need to gain a release if he decides to shift to another club.
While the Rabbitohs are expected to play hardball with their arch-rivals, the Roosters now appear in the box seat for Suaalli's signature, despite Rugby Australia also making an approach with a lucrative offer.
Channel Nine's Danny Weidler told Sky Sports Racing's Big Sports Breakfast the Roosters are the club Suaalii is favouring, but said last year's premiers had "issues" with their roster that needed solving first.

The Roosters have already begun a minor clean-out with the release of Kyle Flanagan and Poasa Fa'amausili on Tuesday.
However, Weidler suggests it could see them also let go of big-money forward Crichton as the club looks to lock up Jake Friend and the Morris twins, as well as Suaalii, in the coming weeks.
"The Roosters are in the process of making room to try and secure Suaalli. I think Kyle Flanagan is a part of that," Weidler said.
"They've got issues, they've got to secure the Morris's, they haven't announced them as re-signings yet; Jake Friend, I think he's got a deal there but they haven't registered that either.. they also want to get Suaalii.

Well Crichton would be an upgrade on Garner I guess if true

I'd take crichton. he'd add some dynamics to our forward pack.

A definite yes, if the price is right.

What would your price be on Crichton ?

what's his contract at the moment? 1 mill? I'd pay in 500k for him with roosters paying the rest

Yeah he’s on 1 Mill
Who’d you rather drop 1Mill on ?
Addo Carr or Crichton?

??? our forward pack needs an upgrade....our backs need an upgrade....

If it came down to giving up Nof or Tommy to get JAC then i would rather drop the cash on Crichton because we lose nothing and get a current origin player for half price.
But at full freight no clauses or hang ups? JAC. I think he would add more to the locker room than crichton and that is intangible but hugely necessary....good locker room means improved results on the pitch.

I am telling you no NRL side fears playing our forward pack. Crichton wouldn’t change that. We need an enforcer like Fisher Harris or Hetherington.

You talk about enforcers like its the 70's - there is no such thing as enforcers these days - there a players who hit hard and hurt in defence and those that don't. Hetherington does but he is hardly ever on the field. McIntyre does and with an off season under his belt could be the player that adds starch to our pack.

NRL players are on record saying they wouldn’t run at this guy or that guy. There are still intimidating forwards in the game. JWH, Papalii, Radley, Fisher Harris. Yes they hit hard but they also have an aura which makes their teammates better players. League is still about winning a mental battle.

Also injury prone and doesn’t strike fear into opponents. If roosters were paying half his freight then yes, as we could also add a young tiro.

Injury prone ? Has played 41 games in last 2 years

This bloke doesn’t rate Crichton, so anything to run him down, Crichton is streets ahead of anything we have

Actually I said he’s a good player who goes well in great teams. I said I’d take him if roosters pay half. I’d also swap Luciano for him as they’re effectively the same type of player. Garner also. Can ball play and hit a gap, but not dominant aggressive types.

He isn’t what we need currently.

I wouldnt swap LL for anyone other than Taumololo

Fair enough mate, with respect, not sure you’d be the recruitment guru at any of the top clubs. Luciano was one of the most improved players in the NRL, but he’d be behind about 25 backrowers.

Rubbish - name the 25 in front of him.

I named about 12 in an earlier post.

Add in
David Fifita
Jai Arrow
Mitch Barnett
The Sironens
Tatola
SBW
Eli Katoa
Isaac Liu
Big Nelson
Kenny Bromwich
Liam Martin

So I’ve got him about 24th. Roughly.

Mate you are not a tigers fan but what you are is deadset wrong. Bayley Sironen better than Leilua hahahahaah same goes for Katoa. Ran his legs off in his first few games and burned out for the rest of the year. Tatola also played the whole season in the front row and Liu couldn’t get a start until Radley broke his leg. Would love to see the other names mentioned
