This bloke doesn’t rate Crichton, so anything to run him down, Crichton is streets ahead of anything we have

Actually I said he’s a good player who goes well in great teams. I said I’d take him if roosters pay half. I’d also swap Luciano for him as they’re effectively the same type of player. Garner also. Can ball play and hit a gap, but not dominant aggressive types.

He isn’t what we need currently.


I wouldnt swap LL for anyone other than Taumololo

Fair enough mate, with respect, not sure you’d be the recruitment guru at any of the top clubs. Luciano was one of the most improved players in the NRL, but he’d be behind about 25 backrowers.

The truth is SBW hasn’t done anything for years. Played a few seasons too long imo. If you’re going off career form I assume you’d have Darius Boyd as a top 5 fullback as well? Nice try. You’re clueless mate

The average over the 6 players was very cheap.

People that want to stab everyone in the back when their team does not win every game are very dangerous for a club. It is often used in the media and ends up sounding like the fans are calling for someone's head. You post quarter truths in the hopes of convincing others to join you in tearing everything down.

He bought and extended cheap players because there was very little salary cap and you need 30 players in the squad. That is a very important point that you are conveniently ignoring.

Doueihi is a very good player and I have no problem with his contract especially if he plays in the halves.

Mate you are not a tigers fan but what you are is deadset wrong. Bayley Sironen better than Leilua hahahahaah same goes for Katoa. Ran his legs off in his first few games and burned out for the rest of the year. Tatola also played the whole season in the front row and Liu couldn’t get a start until Radley broke his leg. Would love to see the other names mentioned

Funny, I support them still even though their best player is not in the top 50 NRL players - Harry is gone.

Tatola played second row in rd 20 but exclude him that’s fine, here’s the top 13.

Of course it’s all opinion but I think Bailey and Katoa both shone in 2020, LL did too, they’re in the same ballpark

Doueihi is a very good player and I have no problem with his contract especially if he plays in the halves.

If we can unearth a few players like him from the lower grades, we will be well on the way to being a force in the NRL. I watched him play 7 in SG Ball and he always had the ability. Suli, Seyfarth and Papenhuyzen were the same as Doueihi.

True we missed the boat on the talau swap unfortunately but Mommo didn't have a problem with a swap. Maybe it should have been put to tommy from our coaching staff you will not see first grade in 2021 and see if he would have gone thats all

Seriously? What has he done to deserve being treated in that way. I'd be extremely disappointed if we did that to him.

The Roosters pursuit of teenage sensation Jopseh Suaalii could see them lose Origin second-rower Angus Crichton as the club begin shedding salary cap space to secure the Rabbitohs junior.
The Daily Telegraph report Suaalii has knocked back a $2 million offer from South Sydney, where he's played his junior rugby league, and is on the radar of fierce rivals the Roosters, who have offered a long-term deal.
Suaali is under contract at Redfern until the end of next year and would need to gain a release if he decides to shift to another club.
While the Rabbitohs are expected to play hardball with their arch-rivals, the Roosters now appear in the box seat for Suaalli's signature, despite Rugby Australia also making an approach with a lucrative offer.
Channel Nine's Danny Weidler told Sky Sports Racing's Big Sports Breakfast the Roosters are the club Suaalii is favouring, but said last year's premiers had "issues" with their roster that needed solving first.

The Roosters have already begun a minor clean-out with the release of Kyle Flanagan and Poasa Fa'amausili on Tuesday.
However, Weidler suggests it could see them also let go of big-money forward Crichton as the club looks to lock up Jake Friend and the Morris twins, as well as Suaalii, in the coming weeks.
"The Roosters are in the process of making room to try and secure Suaalli. I think Kyle Flanagan is a part of that," Weidler said.
"They've got issues, they've got to secure the Morris's, they haven't announced them as re-signings yet; Jake Friend, I think he's got a deal there but they haven't registered that either.. they also want to get Suaalii.

If it came down to giving up Nof or Tommy to get JAC then i would rather drop the cash on Crichton because we lose nothing and get a current origin player for half price.
But at full freight no clauses or hang ups? JAC. I think he would add more to the locker room than crichton and that is intangible but hugely necessary....good locker room means improved results on the pitch.

We can’t trade Tommy Treadmill for a current Origin and Test flyer ..
Nofo can’t even make Freddys train on squad .
Crichton is pretty average .. I’d pass on him

Tommy may be a star but we have let Paps go and Tommy will not be a Paps ***sometimes we need to sacrifice a player or two to upgrade***
I like Nofo I just hope we do not get in a bidding war with him next, don't think we will as the guy likes the club and all but we need a big signing from somewhere and JAC was probably it unfortunately

True we missed the boat on the talau swap unfortunately but Mommo didn't have a problem with a swap. Maybe it should have been put to tommy from our coaching staff you will not see first grade in 2021 and see if he would have gone thats all

Seriously? What has he done to deserve being treated in that way. I'd be extremely disappointed if we did that to him.

Cochise if it meant we had gotten JAC then why not it was just for a year, Mommo did it. He would have learnt plenty in the storm system

I’ve always been of the opinion that Cameron Smith will play another season in which case we get Harry for another season.
I could be reading too much into this? However, in a joint pre GF presser during Bellamy’s praising of Smith he declared, what makes him so great is his stats..nobody has played for so long etc. Bellamy fell short of asking the rhetorical question, “why wouldn’t he want to put those stats well and truly out of reach. Sure it looks bad when a player plays a season too long but much worse when a coach coaches a season too long?
