DWZ has been at b est "pathetic" this year - you must not have seen too many Dogs games at all Krammy.

Wouldn't touch him with a barge poll.

Really like Meaney but We don't have a spot for him.

At his best, DWZ is an authentic international - unfortunately it's been a while since he's been at his best. He showed glimpses when he first arrived at the Bulldogs but he seemed to fall away badly.

As for Meany, he plays well against us (which makes him look like a game breaker) but I put him in the same class as Corey Thompson. Solid, no-nonsense player who always has a go but falls a bit short of the class you need to play finals and win premierships. At the right price he'd be a good depth signing but I don't see him being in the spine of a premiership threatening team.

If DWZ could find his mojo he'd be better, but I'm thinking the mojo ship has sailed.

What if we took Reimis Smith or Dallin Watene-Zelezniak then offered one of them to the Storm?

We don't need to. Storm want a replacement but have implied it doesn't have to come from the team wanting the player - even though it would seem the most likely option.

I think 300k for Benji is a fair price but he can't be picky at his age and realistically should be taking any offer.

He can’t tackle !! So some of you even realise why we lost our games this year . OoOO cutout ball and no look pass . Meanwhile 4 tries have been scored down the other end . Say what you will about brooks , but from my memory I remember 1 clear try where he missed I think it was Kikau or some monster 1 on 1. I can remember at least 10 tries where benji was the reason and sole reason for the try . I loved him as a player , but this year was diabolical in defence

The irony is Benjis "bittersweet"relationship with WT goes back 5 yrs or so when his $750k or so contract was up for renewal,and his manager demanded we match the $900k that he learnt Farah was paid
In a very expensive dummy spit he jumped ship to the Auckland Blues (brandishing their jersey mid season..another destablising event)believing he cld be an All Black "legend"...lasted 5 minutes and was out of a job completely until thrown a $100k lifeline by Uncle Wayne at the Dragons to mostly play reserve grade
Allegedly got $150 again with Uncle Wayne at the Broncos,and was again unemployed until WT threw him a lifeline

Marshall wasn't the only non tackler on the right. At least with his history of serious shoulder injuries he has an excuse. What about the I'm not going to trust my centre and come in when not needed leaving your opposing winger unmarked play? If he had better defensive players around him it wouldn't have been such an issue.

Dale Finucane would be awesome! Hey speaking of which, he’s another player the Dogs let go who has moved onto greater things!! Why don’t we ever hear about *their* recruiting and retention mistakes? I don’t think people are suggesting we sign them and then trade them, I think they are saying to sign them when we inevitably miss out on JAC.

Meany has had played 21 games at fullback and has not looked like close to being a top 5 fullback, his goal kicking may make him an option for the Tigers on the left wing.

DWZ has played 30 NRL games at fullback out of 134 total games, he has seemed like a good fullback at times but has been very inconsistent. He may be a good buy at the right price but is a risk.

JAC would cost more, is obviously one of the best backs in the NRL at the moment but we have no idea if he could organise the defence and learn how to position himself defensively. He is also a risk but has the potential to be be a top 5 fullback and if our deal protects us from having an 800k winger he looks the best option with the highest potential to me.

Dallin Watene Zelezniak has popped up a bit here in this thread. I don't know what happened this year and I admit I did not watch many Bulldogs games. However, the bloke can play as seen in his days at Penrith and playing for New Zealand. Could be a good pick up at the right price, considering his connection with Madge. Throw in Meaney and we are starting to get a bit of depth in the backs.

I think that was Liam Martin. Close to the line he missed him 1 on 1.

The reason I remember is that it was so unusual - he misses so few you tend to remember.
