Hastings is keen on a return to Sydney. Surely we go hard for this bloke. Best player in the Super League imo

That doesn't mean too much.

Saw him a few times this year - nothing too much out of the ordinary.

Won the Man of Steel in 2019 and lead Salford to a Grand Final which they lost to St. Helens, joined Wigan this year and has played a major role in them winning the minor premiership. Not sure what you mean by “that doesn’t mean too much”

I mean (not awards, not what the team did), what I actually saw with my eyes and equated that with what I thought he would do in the NRL.

When I put all that together I come up with "not a real lot" especially if he was playing for us. My opinion only.

I'm not a fan of the Super League being a good guide to who will do well in the NRL. Our very own Brett Hodgson went from struggling here in 2008 to winning the Man of Steel in 2009.

was a gun through juniors but I'd rather us invest in our young halves. Doueihi, Camroux, Tannous, Madden, Field and Ceiza James are all on our books for the next few years

I know what you mean. Jack Wighton won a Dally M at 6, but gets overlooked for that 6 jumper twice for the blues.

If Katoni Staggs is off contract 2022, i would be going after him. I would reach out to Brent Naden right now and ger him over as part of the strategy. Put Naden on a wing and Staggs inside him or sometging like that. Naden could want a release after not being played during finals. Just an Idea

110% agree, this is actually achievable through using the Packer and Reynolds money, you could even add Crighton to the mix, as he is off contract and by all accounts looking for an out. Imagine Staggs and one of the Panthers centers together, not only try scoring machines, dynamite offensive players, better than average defenders, two of the three can actually offload, one is a goal kicker, all have positive profiles off the field (sex tape aside), but could actually bring excitement and the status of centers back, think golden era of league.

This is doable

At least he gets a run in the team.
Noffo wins winger of the year and doesn't even get a run as ball boy.

Weren't Mahe Fonua and Jordan Rankin among the best players in super league as well? Tui is being talked up as well.

SL form is not great reference material.

I can understand that. If Nofa got a run, Qld would play Kendrick Lee.

George Williams has been a revelation at Canberra, and no one really rated him, Canberra have bought some gems from the ESL

There’s a growing view that C Smith will play in 21 and Harry will trigger his get out clause. Titans think they are favourites but I think we should go very hard after him. What do you think?

Agreed but its not really the players deemed to be the best players, its more about finding players that fit the NRL style of play. I am not sure that is Hastings.

One thing we can be sure of, Bellamy will have a replacement identified if Grant moves on.

I hope we do sign Reece Walsh
Great highlights on him, I’d be willing to unleash some serious coin on this guy just on determination and raw talent alone.
