Surprised so many clubs chasing Seyfarth. He didn’t look ready for first grade when he played but he could definitely turn into a good player.


I have never believed in writing off young footballers.Every club could tell you about the great players they have let go when they where young.

Definitely, especially forwards for me who take a little longer to develop I feel. Madge says he’s got a great work ethic and that alone will make him a decent player.

I agree he bulked up massively in one year. He’s not there yet but Madge would know he loves hard trainers. He played Robbie over Cook because of this and probably got himself sacked.

2 year extension is too long for Seyfarth. If we re-sign him it should only be a year IMO.

He’s shown nothing so far. If he’s stalling, let him go. The players we’ve lost and regretted were all rated internally so it’s a myth that they were young and magically improved.

He’s not stalling, he might’ve talked to some other clubs that’s what every player does it’s very common nothing to get too worried about.

He wasn’t ready for first grade but that doesn’t mean he won’t come good. I won’t be upset if we lose him but he could definitely come good

There’s a growing view that C Smith will play in 21 and Harry will trigger his get out clause. Titans think they are favourites but I think we should go very hard after him. What do you think?

I think we should work with Melbourne and trade them Simpkins for Harry if Cam is going to play on. The timing of the handover from cam might work better. Of course, we would still need to throw a good offer as Harry has a right of refusal.

Maybe that might also make them happier about releasing addo carr

That's actually not a bad idea.

Sure Simpkin could become anything, but Harry iscurrently the 2nd best hooker in the game with plenty of years left in him.

Works well for both clubs.

I literally don't see the excitement in Seyfarth ...he gets completely dominated virtually every hit up and his defence leads to opposition quick play the balls ....whats the upside ..is he a good bloke or shouts top shelf on the bar ..the modern Heighno perhaps

Exactly, if he was at another club, he would be labeled a plodder, and our forum would laugh at said club for trying to re- sign him, I have seen nothing from him

I think all our recruitment final decisions are waiting on JAC to be released.. If he comes we won't sign players like Seyfarth as they would be a cheap signing to full numbers if needed.. Not saying we have throw all our eggs in one basket but seem the domino starts with JAC. I really don't like the idea of waiting another 3 weeks until SOO finishes considering our preseason starts soon and alot of other players we might want won't hang around for us to make the call. Come on Storm lets make this happen.

Heard through the grapevine that Will Chambers is coming back to the NRL. Not sure where, but given he’s already had two stints at the Storm, it’s possible he could be coming back for a third. It could pave the way for Melbourne to finally release JAC to us.

Good to see they felt the need to again list the players who aren't at Tigers any more, including of course Aaron Woods who hasn't done anything except get dropped from Origin since he left.

Interesting though they didn't list the talent that had "slipped through" Penrith's hands in recent years, given the lead for the story is the potential departure of Matt Burton. E.g. RCG, Waqa Blake, Corey Harawira-Naera, DWZ, Tyrone Peachey, James Roberts, Moylan, Segeyaro, Matt Eisenhuth, Tom Eisenhuth, Gavin Cooper, Blake Austin, Wade Graham, Michael Jennings etc.
