Hastings is keen on a return to Sydney. Surely we go hard for this bloke. Best player in the Super League imo

That doesn't mean too much.

Saw him a few times this year - nothing too much out of the ordinary.

Won the Man of Steel in 2019 and lead Salford to a Grand Final which they lost to St. Helens, joined Wigan this year and has played a major role in them winning the minor premiership. Not sure what you mean by “that doesn’t mean too much”

I'm not a fan of the Super League being a good guide to who will do well in the NRL. Our very own Brett Hodgson went from struggling here in 2008 to winning the Man of Steel in 2009.

George Williams has been a revelation at Canberra, and no one really rated him, Canberra have bought some gems from the ESL

Also that Ellis bloke went ok for us and Grahame for the dogs. Canberra had the second rower and the hooker. Then there is the older ones that came over. Rielly, schofield, courier, Hanley. It’s a pretty big list of good ones

Everyone can pick out a couple of examples either way.

On hastings, the roosters punted him for personality, not ability. So did manly

Sounds great but his track record is not fantastic. Doubt we could afford JAC and Crichton under our cap unless roosters throw a lot in for Crichton.

I don’t think his info is reliable. He’s one of those who loves to tell you after the fact he was on the money all along.

I think we should work with Melbourne and trade them Simpkins for Harry if Cam is going to play on. The timing of the handover from cam might work better. Of course, we would still need to throw a good offer as Harry has a right of refusal.

Maybe that might also make them happier about releasing addo carr

My sponsor mate at the knights I had lunch with today is still nervous that they are looking at Roberts lol thinks he would be a disaster at Newcastle but they are apparently putting a low offer to him as a lifeline. Also looks like Green will take up a coaching role with Newcastle.

One thing we can be sure of, Bellamy will have a replacement identified if Grant moves on.

I tend to agree with some if the Grant get out clause comes in to pay then storm will target Simpkin. If Titans get Grant then God help our recruitment if we were to miss JAc and Grant if he enacted his getcout clause

If he's stalling, I'd put a deadline on him and sign an actual first grader.

Surprised so many clubs chasing Seyfarth. He didn’t look ready for first grade when he played but he could definitely turn into a good player.

I have never believed in writing off young footballers.Every club could tell you about the great players they have let go when they where young.
