Yeah aparently it's like the Dogs are spending 7 million on 8 players and the rest of the squad will be development players.

I guess Penrith are just keeping stocks up in the hopes of challenging for the premiership. A Burton or Laurie this year could prove vital in the event of injury. If they let either walk early and then there is an injury that suddenly could have been filled by one of them they'd look rather foolish. If they were not competing for the premiership they probably would let one or both walk.

to be fair, Laurie can't play until Round 16 anyway under the development rules. Burton's a different case, but I mean you'd hope that Penrith would release him due to it being in the best interests of the player. that said though and as Pom did say, Penrith gain nothing by releasing him to us a year early.

We could just upgrade his contract this year

Sam Walker played with team mates Reece Hoffman, Jake Simpkins and Xavier Cootes in the 2019 Uner 18 state of Origin. He also played against Asu Kepoa in the 2019 Australia V Kiwis Schoolboys.

This is the problem, Tigers were ok in prop stocks but now have to pick someone up when the market is basically bone dry. Or pull a swifty like Manly have. Which we are either no good at or ‘too nice’.

That was the most rubbish call in history. The video ref said it was an accident when he clearly kicked it ?

They scored off the next set of 6 after we had to have a goal line dropout = we lost 18 - 16. We missed the 8 by 1 point. In hindsight it was a massive call.
