Garner for Sironen is a good swap

It's a great swap.

Attacking wise pretty even probably slight edge to garner but Sironen is a better defender which we need

Disappointing if we release Aloiai that easily.

Hopefully they have a plan B to nab someone else?

There’ll still be 3 spots in the roster - well two considering Seyfarth has signed despite no announcement from the club. We’ll have to find some guys from somewhere

Think you find currently with Joe in & Aloiai out we only have 1 spot left, unless others are released.

1. Shawn Blore
2. Kane Bradley
3. Luke Brooks
4. Michael Chee-Kam
5. Zac Cini
6. Adam Doueihi
7. Luke Garner
8. Asu Kepaoa
9. Joseph Leilua
10. Luciano Leilua
11. Jacob Liddle
12. James Roberts
13. Jock Madden
14. Moses Mbye
15. Thomas Mikaele
16. Paul Momirovski
17. Zane Musgrove
18. David Nofoaluma
19. Joe Ofahengaue
20. Russell Packer
21. James Roberts
22. Josh Reynolds
23. Alex Seyfarth
24. Jake Simpkin
25. Tommy Talau
26. James Tamou
27. Alex Twal
28. Stefano Utoikamanu
29. Billy Walters

Nah, 28 spots including Seyfarth with Joe coming in and Josh going out. You’ve got jimmy the jet on there twice ?

Well............................egg meets face.

Any idea on the length of Joe’s contract. Minimum 3 years I’d assume.

2021-23

POM
I see 29 contracts.
If Jo comes that’s 30
If Aloiai leaves, that’s back to 29.

Edit: the list has Roberts in twice but does not list Aloiai.

But Joe is on the list and Josh is not, so they equal out and we had 29, then it was noticed that JTJ was on twice, so that brings it back to 28.

Ok, if JA goes it’s 28 right?

I think he has already had a line through his name, so yes?

Takes me a while to catch up ?
I didn’t hear the announcements.
Last I heard Aloiai was due at training on Monday and Jo was agreeable to signing on.

Yes, it seems to have happened in the last few hours, though no confirmation on JO signing as yet. The Pom sent some stuff through some pages back.

Aloiai for $$$ (essentially Joe)
Garner for Sironen (pending terms)

Forward pack looking strong,

How does some cash from Manly, paid to us as money outside the cap, help us pay for Joe O who's salary is money within the cap.

Better be a lot of cash from Manly, several hundred grand, or we'd been duped.

I would think when he says essential Joe i took to mean Joe O was on more coin than JA so Manly giving us cash means we are no worse off financially hopefully a bit in front.

Mate who cares? If we get Joe O, Sironen and some cash we are way ahead! If this is all true, club deserves a lot of credit!

Club deserves credit for the signings, yes absolutely, done well.

I'm still concerned Talua or Mikaele or whoever the next young player is who catches the eye of a competitor and wants to leave us mid contract can just do so.

Come on V'landys, step up, you're the only that can fix this. And I'm still waiting for you to do something about the Burgess allegations. Remeber them? I do.

Agree, but no signed player can “just” leave without the clubs approval. But if JA ended up staying (which a lot of us wanted) then we were going to be a player short, so it looks like they got an acceptable outcome.
I’m happy.

Actually @THE_POM can I ask (and fair enough if you don't know or can't say), but the cash we get from Aloiai, who pays that? Manly? The agent? Aloiai?

From Michael Carayannis at DT.

Wests Tigers player of the year David Nofoaluma may have to consider putting himself onto the open market after receiving a contract offer from the club this week.

Nofoaluma has made it clear his first preference is to remain at the Tigers but the 26-year-old concedes he will now open himself up to speak with rival clubs.

“I obviously love the Wests Tigers and the fans, you can tell by my passion.” Nofoaluma said. “But in reality, I am heading into what could potentially be my last contract.

“I am going to explore all my options and weigh up what’s the best decision for myself and more importantly my future. I know with whatever decision I make, I can say I’ve given one hundred per cent every time I have stepped foot on the field for this club.”

Nofoaluma is coming off the best season of his career. Most pundits thought he was unlucky to miss out on the NSW Origin squad and he was easily the Tigers most consistent player scoring 17 tries in 20 games. Nofoaluma is officially a free agent with his current deal expiring at the end of next year. The Tigers tabled a three year deal to him this week

The Campbelltown product has been a rare shining light for the Tigers and is one of the club’s favoured sons given the recent departures of Robbie Farah, Chris Lawrence and Benji Marshall.

“There is no rush but I have my manager (Sam Ayoub) taking care of everything.” Nofoaluma said. “It would be extremely tough to leave but at the moment I have one more year remaining on my current contract and I will respect that. I’m back at training next week. I’ve really missed it and so I’m looking forward to ripping back into it with the boys and doing what I love.

“My contract situation will look after itself.”

Barring injury Nofoaluma should become the greatest Wests Tigers tryscorer next year. He sits 10 short of Marshall and Lawrence having scored 74 tries from 139 matches.

The potential loss of Nofoaluma would be a cruel blow to the Tigers given the public fallout between the club and prop Josh Alolai who is still inching towards a move to Manly.

It wouldn't be the Sea Eagles, their interest was only for the years immediately following the expiration of his WTs' contract.

Surely we can’t lose Nofa. Probably just trying to bump his price up a little - which means we shouldn’t even bother with him according to some people on here 😂
