I'll be surprised if we are destination club for Staggs at this point. It will be interesting to see if recruitment persists with chasing highly desired players after - LM and JAC - or sticks to the value for money players.

He’s a Wellington lad, only Penrith are closer in Distance From his hometown then us.
Might be a draw card.

Look I’m sorry but us getting Staggs is pie in the sky stuff

We couldn’t get Latrell when we were competing against no one, then offered $300-$400k above his eventual club

JAC is staying in Melbourne purely so he doesn’t have to come here and then is likely going to a bottom 2 club for less then we offered him

Staggs is the hottest young back in the game. He will have 15 other clubs bidding for his services. His manager wouldn’t even bother returning our voicemails

I don’t want the foot licker 🦶🏼

They’ll try and first signs of them not wanting to be here will move on to next one

Was about to say exactly this.

We're no chance for Staggs.

And as much as I think he's an absolute weapon, we have other areas of concern. We have plenty of centres - but of course, I'd take Staggs over any of them, just means we have to let one of them go before this is even a thing.

Don't let the facts get in the way of a good story.

You have no idea what Tigers or Rabbits offered Latrell.
JAC seems to have stayed in Melbourne because he had a contract and Storm made a deal with him, you have no idea who he will sign with for next year.
You have no idea what Stagg wants or who's phone calls his manager will return.

You can either believe everything the media prints or nothing, you can't cherry pick what you want and call it a fact.

So you think we’re a chance of signing him?

In relation to staggs, maybe he can play 2nd row?

In relation to staffs he is a dark horse that kid, body like taumalolo but has JAC speed to burn

Also has a 90% GK %

I hope they continue to chase every player, especially the elites, we only need one, then the dominoes will fall.

This was in the Fox news this morning re JAC:
He had been putting feelers out in a move to Sydney to be closer to family, Addo-Carr was pursued by the Wests Tigers and Canterbury Bulldogs while South Sydney were also floated as a landing point.

Having made his debut for the Wests Tigers in 2016 before moving to the Storm, Addo-Carr has been forward about moving to fullback, with the position seen as a more lucrative position that on the wing.

The Daily Telegraphreported that **Tigers chairman Lee Hagipantelis said that the club was now out of the running.**

“**We are only interested in engaging with players who want to come and play for us,**” he said. “And if the perception is the player doesn’t wish to come to the Wests Tigers because their manager doesn’t engage with us, well, that is fine by us. I am not going to lose any sleep over it and we move on to greener pastures.”

The report also said the Newcastle Knights were making a surprise play for Addo-Carr as well.

I’d be surprised if we’ve dropped off JAC. Trent Barrett was asked about his interest in JAC on the World Of Sport 2 weeks ago and he couldn’t change the topic quickly enough - now look what the poker face has offered. That’s the secret - work quietly, methodically in the background whilst denying everything the strike whilst the enemy is retreating.
He was also asked about Burton who he claimed was very unlikely to move from Penrith - now he’s officially nailed him.
What’s the big attraction with Trent Barrett? He was sacked from Manly and I can’t get the image of him being slapped in the face on the sideline by then dwarf coach Nathan Brown at Saints.
Maybe Penrith will force our hand for our last slot in 2021+ by offering Dane Laurie a year early on the condition we take the geriatric Mansour off their hands.
I still think what Bulldogs have offered JAC is chicken feed when you consider what we offered Latrell and what Ben Hunt and Tedesco are on.
Is there a more dynamic player on the market for 2022? Yeah sure he so probably keen to head to Souths but money talks and we all know we’ve got plenty of coin for 2022.

Yes, I'm pretty sure our original offer to JAC was better than the dogs massive offer?

Our chair was quoted as saying we are out of the race for JAC, but he could be playing ducks and drakes, I said earlier that if were to get confirmation of JAC, we should tell Nofo that we have removed our offer to him. He wants to play games.

I agree re Trent Barrett, he hasn't done much in head coach situations and has a mammoth task of getting the dogs competitive, got some good players, but they have to gel and TB doesn't seem to have that skill imo.

I don't have a major problem with Mansour, don't really follow him, I know he was injured but I have seen him in action, where he is a beast.

LM and JAC are part of the Redfern brotherhood, and are a different proposition to other players on the market,Neither player would come here, and im glad ,because if they end up together souths will have a lot of problems'. Don;t use these two as a a failed signing attempt, all clubs would have had the same problem .We are a big chance with Staggs or Chrichton its all about money,

Maybe maths is not my strongest subject, but if WT offered JAC $600K a season with an upgrade to $800K if he played most of his games at FB.
So I’m wondering how the Bulldogs $500K a season over 4 years “blew WT offer away”.
Just more Pox Sports and Telecrap fabricating.
Don’t let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Yeah I’ll laugh hard if Roberts ends up performing better than both of them in the long run playing for the Wests Tigers!

Spud,Im going to put my head on the chopping block here and say that,if Roberts has his head right and Madge keeps him in check off the field,I dare say JTJ will be a major contributor to us winning more games, especially if he and BJ both have their heads right...the WTs are shaping up pretty well for 2021 and Im starting to get excited at watching the young guys progress as well...
